Love the snazzy suit! Merry Christmas!
Great video
Loved your suit 😍 Happy Holidays Dustin!!
One of the best channels for points and miles. Thanks, D. Oh, Happy Holidays to u and the fam.
Hahahahaha. Love the costume change. Lol
Great video! Think my gf and I are going to use our chase points for Hyatt transfer and Amex points for flights
I hope you reply to this : i have a specific question.: I drive full time with the Gig Apps. My credit score is 740ish:
This means i get a 1099 form. So technically i'm not a buisness but the grey area says i am.
My Plan:
I currently have a relationship with chase with a personal checking and the chase freedom unlimited and flex cards
Chase offers a $750 bonus for the Chase Ink Buisness Cash for $7500 spent in 3 months. This card also offers 5% cash back from office supply stores.
Would i be able to spend $7,500 on Gas Gift cards at Office Supply stores to get $1,125 in bonus money? I would eventually use all that gas money since i am a full time delivery driver. and i have the money to pay off the $7500 instantly. Is this manufactured spending? is this legal?
Agreed. Point values are subjective. Do you alter your plans to get more value? Do you pick a hotel over another you prefer just to get more value? At some point we need to consider more than maximizing value.
Well done brother.
Etihad business class looks like cubicle hell (my bad).
That transition alone deserves a like
Such great advise. Today I just realized that since I’m a coach flyer that 2cpp is so off. Duh 😒. Now all that matters is I’m gonna be having fun making the redemption that works for us. Super excited and can’t wait to fly 🤘
This is the Blue Print!!!!
Do my Chase and Amex points expire? I've built up quite a bit of Chase, Amex, and United Mileage Plus points.. and forgot to use them. I simply pay cash for flights and hotels since they've been so cheap the last few years. I think I'm bad at this
Yep! Travel is never "free". Great video!
The part about subjective valuation of points is the best tip IMHO. Just because someone says "it's worth X cents per point" doesn't mean I am going to get that value!!!
This video should be pinned to all the credit card YouTuber's channel. 😆 Awesome idea for a video Dustin. Take care and have a safe and happy holiday!
You are awesome! Thanks for this video
Fantastic video. I haven’t seen other credit card YouTubers address this foundational topic – great job.
Hey brother I know I’m late to comment but I started not really knowing and burned my first five with the little capital one and first premier stuff like that I have a discover with a 9k limit but only had it for a few months I have 10 inquiries because I just got a car but I have a 735 fico 8 on experian but I have one paid collection I can’t get removed do you think Amex would approve me for the gold card due to that it doesn’t affect my score but I know they will still see it and I’m nervous about it
I always enjoy your video. Could you please provide your opinion on value of a point for Coach travelers and person who prefers budget hotels?
Congrats on 15K subscribers!
Great honest review that is really helpful for people that are just coming in the credit card game.
Thanks for keeping it real. Especially agree with your views on point value and redemption.
Great info. You are one my favorite credit card gurus. Thumbs up from inkahustler 👍👍👍
Thanks! I’m a newb, and I just want to say thank you so much. Your videos are really my speed. So helpful. Your explanation about not redeeming points because you feel like you won’t get the best deal… is something that I needed to hear because I think I’ll run into that problem. I’m. Indecisive when it comes to pulling the trigger, as I always have that question in the back of my mind- “is this the best offer?”
Thank you SO MUCH for saying the elephant in the room that one ecosystem someone promotes isn’t always the best. I found out that’s American Express for me. I jumped in with them because of YouTube and not throwing shade, I LOVE their customer service and their products… I’m just finding that the MR system doesn’t quite meet my spend / lifestyle after year 1 at “normal” point earning rates. I’m kind of a low spender and casual traveler that doesn’t mind flying economy for free instead of a huge discount on first or business class and I’m finding the UR system just fits my spending / lifestyle better than MR. I wish it wasn’t that way because American Express has been top notch but so so well said… they all don’t fit us individually and not many people have the balls to say that!
One of the biggest challenges is to learn to select the best Point/Redemption System, which is not so easy as Cards are constantly changing the benefits.
One of your best videos
You just answered every question I had about why this whole rewards point and cashback debate made no sense to me. Thanks!
