I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, i’m thankful for this money, but 1200 is the financial equivalent of thoughts and prayers.
The final bill has passed that is allowing social security retirerees, social security disability, SSI and railroad beneficiaries to receive the $1200 stimulus payment, however the catch here is that none of these people will get the $500 extra for any of their dependants, because they are going by the social security forms, and they said they have no way of knowing who has dependants and who doesn't. This is just another way to screw over the poorest of the poor, millions of people (like my mom) who have dependants in their household will get the shaft on that extra money. They should have a better way to make sure it's fair for everyone instead of just shafting those people, like always

Of course everyone will qualify? Are some people immune to the virus or will not feel the affect of a changing economy? Of course not. A great country that shuts down is responsible enough to cover the cost they've made. So why wouldn't everyone qualify? It wouldn't be fair or ethical not to qualify everybody. Right? This is how you know this country ain't worth a shit. They'll literally leave millions without any relief despite forcing them to stop working and shutting down their business and having no alternative for helping them. Perfect. These people shouldn't have to pay taxes when this is over. Nobody would pay for a failed system.
I was told everybody with a social security number will get a check. I work in healthcare at night and all my night coworkers got their check but I didn’t.. this is crazy
