Ben I got my AODFCU signature Visa card. New members cannot get it anymore. For us who have it, we still have the 3% back on everything with no catches.
I think category do matter a lot. For me a big one is utilities. >$600/mo water-garbage-electric-internet-cellphone. a couple thousand each year on various insurance. Not to mention kid's gym classes, charity donations all noncategory spending. For me dining/groceries/gas are pretty well covered. So a good 3% card is great for catch all.
3% back even makes paying income, property tax, and even tuitions with credit card worthwhile. These usually carries ~2% fee.
Surprised you did not include the Discover It Miles card which starts at 1.5% but is doubled to 3% at the end of the year. No caps on any timeframe and applies to all categories.
British rap!
Freemasons are dishonest thieves who organize crime and owe debts that cannot be paid. A belief in a higher power is a complete joke. They sit in their lodges, drunk and brag amongst themselves about the horrible things that they do in secret. I will no longer support your channel if you continue to endorse them.
There were a few 3% Cashback cards in the past:
1. JCB Marukai Premium. Discontinued. There was $15 AF, but they gave you a $50 bonus after spending $3k per year. It was not accepted everywhere, especially online, but mostly fine in a stores. I had this card.
2. Priceline Rewards Visa Signature earns 2x on every purchase, each point worth 1.67c if redeemed against travel or Priceline purchase. Relatively easy to cash out. No AF, no FTF. Discontinued for new applicants. I have this card for 10 years. The new version is only 1x on everything.
3. AOD FCU Visa signature card. 3% on everything. No AF, no FTF. Discontinued for new applicants.
USAlliance Financial Visa Signature Card pays 3% back on everything. Their fine print says it's a promo rate that expires 12/31/22, but they've been saying that for a while now, and every year they extend it for another year. This could be the year it actually ends, or it might not be. Who knows?
So……. paceline is only for iPhone users??
Great video as always any chance we'll see a 4%or 5% version?
What about the X1?
Good video. Laughed harder than some comedy vids
🤣👍👍
Paypal. $2500 annual fee?
What do you think about the USAlliance credit card? It has unlimited 3% cash back
Great round up, and I really want some of these cards when I am finally out of Chase jail.
I like the American Express blue business plus as a catchall. It’s 2 MRs rather than 3% on everything, but those MR points can be reliably converted into 3 to 4% for flights or more, or 2.2 cents with a Schwab platinum. Or two cents with an American Express business account and a business platinum. still not a 3% on everything card, but if you fly regularly, it is a 3-4%+ card.
I got the Paceline card in sept. In addition to the Apple Watch reimbursement, I have gotten $14 back in amazon/Whole Foods gift card so far. There is a $60 annual fee but you will get $169 of gift cards back if you “exercise” enough every week: brisk walking my dog 2x daily is enough for the 150 min requirement btw. It’s my dedicated Costco card now, until I decide to buy any electronics there, then I will get the Costco card for the extended warranty
I like the US altitude reserve, 3% cash back on mobile payment, that 3% can turned into 4.5% if you redeem point thru its travel portal. $75 effective annual fee
You’ve got to cover the X1 card. 3x back as long as spend exceeds $15,000 per year. Just a wild guess, but I imagine most of your audience could meet this spend per year. There are a few caveats though – if its not your only card, it can be hard to eat minimum spend for other sign up bonuses. Also, cash back is actually to pay off expenses of 50 or so merchants. The great part though – all the major US Carriers are listed merchants. Arguably the best and easiest travel cc that nobody is talking about.
The X1 card is similar to many of these options with the fact that they offer 3x back on everything if you meet a requirement. For them it’s spend more than $15k a year but once you do it is a 3x back on everything card.
Guess I'll be poor for ever with my Chase Freedom Unlimited then..lmmfao
There is a Santander card that will give 3 for the 1st year 1.5 after that
I’ve had the PayPal Cashback Mastercard since October 2020, but the 3% on PayPal thing is from past year.
Fidelity requires you to put it into investments to earn the 2+%
Ben, are you a traveling man?
Does anybody like/use credit cards that require a minimum investment balance? I’m curious/concerned about the management fees and if increased management fees drastically outweigh any cash back on a credit card.
Meth is the cheat code
The venmo credit card is also a good 3% card.
How about the Amex Blue Business Plus? Since its 2X MR points, it could be > 3% for many folks
Opinion on the Navy Fed More Rewards card by Amex. Seems like a good one
BofA unlimited cash rewards is definitely underrated. You could potentially be getting 2.62% cash back. And that could include rent.
Are there any other catch all cards with 0 annual fees that provide that ROI?
I'm so excited 😊, my life has totally Changed since I invested $3,500 and now make $31,900 every 10, days. God bless Expert Michael Allen
I recently got a mailer for the bank of the west 3% cashback card, that should be included on this list too I think.
Thanks for leaving out the Logix Platinum Rewards Mastercard, which provides 3% cash back on all purchases. It's such a great sleeper catch-all card that I'm worried they'll discontinue it if too many people sign up for it.
Sick raps. Santa Claus in your area causing mass hysteria
Exercising 30 minutes per day is one thing but my outdoor walks might not get to an elevated heart rate
What about 3% venmo card?
X1?
Is it possible to use any other activity tracker with Paceline card, since I don't have an iPhone, and I'm not planning to get one, and AFAIK Apple watch will not work with Android. So is this card only good for Apple users?
loving this new format ben! I love the humor too
I’ve lost over 100 lbs since opening the pace line card. It’s completely changed my life
Also the Capital One Savor One card
Should’ve mentioned the US Bank Altitude Reserve getting 3X for all mobile wallet purchases
The Venmo credit card isn't mentioned much but is an amazing card with no AF. Especially if you and your spouse each have one so you have 2 different sets of top spending categories.
I'm going to keep my life simple, 2% card with no fees and no requirements suits me fine. I'd do the Paceline card if I had an apple phone, a free watch and 3%/5% is pretty nice
Hey Ben, do you know that there is a fake profile with your name and picture replying to your comments on your youtube channel.
The Sofi credit card has 3% cash back for the first year if you have a bank account and direct deposit with them. unfortunately it goes down to 2% after the 1 year period.
