Sports book, Booze and Pool won’t be enough to keep this hotel afloat. 777 upscale rooms will be competing against the Golden Nugget for high end clients. Restaurant prices are on the high side since all the venues are leased out. Derek kept all the beverage ( alcohol ) profits and let his tenants deal with the food problems. Most of the restaurants won’t survive. Derek’s other hotels ( GG and D ) are a pale shadow compared to their rich history. Downtown won’t support 2 high end casinos.

We were there the day after it opened, stayed at the plaza. Gorgeous property! Didn't care for the costs but I get it. I was loving how it was air conditioned from the floor and ceiling. Very nicely done. Can't wait to come back

circa was very nice. that sports book will make you stop and stare for a few seconds. its a nice addition to downtown. i also hope it inspires some other downtown properties to do a make over. it is cool now the whiskey licker bar and circa, that corner looks good.

On point, most of the things u guys talked abt in the dislikes i also had thought about. The pool area being open year round. In the early stages i kept asking if anyone knew if they were going to have a retractable roof because not just the hot summer, but Vegas also gets hella cold and windy, rain. And paying for seats at the sports book when u can see the screens a mile away makes no sense. But i cant wait to see the casino in person, i love the old retro look of Vegas.

Las Vegas will recover and it is good that new properties continue to open…..the recovery will take time(I estimate 2 years) but glad you were impressed…I'm an east coast retiree going to Caesars in Atlantic City in a couple of weeks …..looking forward to that…thanks for the report

I guess the $10 fee to get in is to keep it limited inside? That kind of grates on me, but maybe they will remove it I hope sometime. I guess I feel this way because I always play so I feel it isnt necessary. Or at least if u play u should get the $10 back in comps or free play.

Like that they gave VIcky a good home, but a while back read they also were gonna get Vic in their too, guess that didn't work out. A little concerned it might fail cause it's a new higher end place during a recession, don't want to see it close and hurt downtown even more. Hoping covid ends and someone opens up a Glitter Gulch 2 or something; Vegas isn't the same without strippers and lap dances.

John’s World of Video Poker🍎 November 19, 2020 - 6:56 am

Circa video poker is a scam….no full pay games & actually has the worst pay tables in the industry. They don’t even offer Jacks or Better at all because they’re there to rob you blind. I’d rather be slapped in the face & punched in the stomach than play video poker there. Anyone who does is a sucker. Just the way Circa sees you.

My only complaint is the Victory Burger place is way too expensive. I paid $19.50 for a cheese burger and all they had was waffle cut fries. So I will not be doing that again!

The pool area has to be retooled. There wasn’t much thinking with all the concrete surrounding it during the summer heat. I think at some point they’ll have to put up a screen of some sort to ward off the blazing heat. The sports book is okay but I wouldn’t pay to sit in it either. The people vibe is excellent at night and the customer service is so friendly it’s hard to get used to. The room on pictures looks large but really isn’t. One of the things that disappointed me. But I am happy I got two nights free. The elevator thing is a mystery. You have to show your room card to the security guard and he presses a number on a screen panel and tells you what letter elevator to go to and when you get on the elevator…suprise! There’s NO BUTTONS!!! It takes you and whoever else is on it up to your floor! Going down is different as you push a keypad to get to the main floor also provided by a digital assistant. It already looks annoying to the security people that race back and forth pressing buttons and checking room numbers. The only place I bought something from was the coffee shop which of course is popular for coffee junkies. Overall it’s a nice place but so so for me. No loose slots of course. The layout is iffy like a typical casino but meh. The hotel room I have is very small but comfortable. Giant television with dozens of channels. If you’re looking for storage space for your stuff forget it. Unless you pay for a better or larger room there’s only one tiny dresser and a big wooden closet but it’s for hanging clothes and the safe. There’s a long couch but not pullout and a tiny bench and chair. The bonus is a cute little glass door refrigerator where you can store a few drinks. The bathroom is kinda roomy with only a large shower and no tub. The shower has liquid dispensers for soap and shampoo. For some reason the glass mirrors in the bathroom have up and down arrows I guess to dim the mirror lights. Seems like a waste. For those of you like me that hate lights and sleep in the dark there’s wall panels everywhere that still have a light that won’t go out even in pitch darkness and for some really odd reason the smoke detector keeps flashing on and off! It’s something customer’s will definitely complain about. Other than a mini table that seats only one. the room only had two more tiny unnecessary little tables that are only for design. The curtains aren’t blackout so some light still gets in when they’re drawn closed. The view isn’t great. Just a view of the California and Main Street station casinos and part of garage mahal. While it’s okay and the people vibe is fantastic and customer service is A+, there’s a lot to be fixed especially the elevator situation and room issues with the flashing lights from the smoke detector. My score…a C+. You can checkout the elevator and room tour on my YouTube channel if interested.

Hi, second trip to downtown las vegas since pandemic and circa opened. I still love the sportsbook. It is amazing. What is sad is that the table limits are still high and I like to play craps its 3X,4X, 5X time odds.
This is downtown vegas not the strip, get inline with the other casinos with 10 time odds. I pass the tables and they are empty quiet often. I'm like wow what a waste. $15 and $25 minimums are a little high for this area. I had to play at the plaza, and golden gate, and downtown grand.. Also still waiting for main street station to come back. Miss that place

Warning to those with kids!!

We tried to walk in and check out the hotel with a 7 year old. We wanted to see the place and plan a future trip. Unfortunately we were stopped by security right at the parking bridge to the hotel. That's after we had parked and walked from the car to the bridge.

O by the way, it's paid parking although there are lots of free parking in downtown.

Next time we have to go all adults and make sure we park elsewhere
