Some FHR hotels (not in Las Vegas) have $25 cocktails and $300 spa treatments. So the $100 credit doesn't go as far. I mainly use FHR for the guaranteed 4PM check-out. So run the numbers!

I got something similar to that through the citi prestige. I stayed 4 nights, 1 one night being free at the Venetian. early check-in/late check-out. Got 30 dollar breakfast credit per person for each day. A room upgrade and to top it off got a free bottle of Champaign (veuve clicquot). It is not displayed anywhere on there website but I called to book my reservation and they were kind enough to do all these complimentary accommodations.

Great advice but I think moving stuff to different hotels is a real burden and defeats the purpose of a vacation, that’s just me I guess 🤷🏽‍♂️ great advice regardless!

Just stayed at the Venetian FHR. $100 spa credit. Most Spa treatments were 150-200 a person. My gf said it was the best she’s had so worth it for $80 difference. $65 food credit for two people was okay and covered most of the cost of the room service we ordered. Got an upgraded room and view which was nice. 4pm checkout was really nice as well.

The only thing that really annoys me is the resort fees! I wish AmEx would start covering these ridiculous extra/ hidden charges.

I’m sorry, but if I can see the bathtub from my bed…? No to Nomad. FHR is great though! I am in Vegas all the time and it’s a great benefit of Amex Plat.

Great info! Although I would normally look for the least expensive hotel stay, there are times where a nice hotel is called for. Thanks for pointing out this alternative!

What I struggle with for Vegas is that I'd love to have the perks from FHR but I also get a lot of comped rooms from MLife. They are just the basic rooms but I end up using my Hyatt credit card and earn points etc. Seems like I should always take the free room

If I book 2 consecutive nights seperatly at an FHR (nomad), will I get the dining credit twice?

Example: Day 1, early check-in, get the $100 credit, check out next day. Day 2, check in again, and get the $100 credit again.

Since there's a time overlap 12pm(early check-in) – 4pm(late check-out) I assume it would be easy to do. I noticed you mentioned similar example with Mandy checking in the next day on a separate booking. What I'm curious to know is if I'm able to do it by myself, just booking the nights separately.

I wish credit cards in germany would be similar in germany but in germany it really only makes sense to get cards without anual fees. Cause you never get cashback or something else that gives you more back then you are actully paying for it…

Great review. I want to ask you, I understand you need to book your stay with Amex Travel to get what you’re getting. Are the room prices more booking on Amex Travel vs. booking on Expedia or directly with the hotel? I’m looking at booking a stay at the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong which is advertising HK$3200 a night. What is the rate on Amex Travel?

Can you still use/input your hotel status like TR when booking with FHR as opposed to directly with the hotels ?!?

Didn’t you check your AmEx offers online? Mine gave me the option of getting $100 or $250 off depending on the amount spent at any MGM or Caesar resort.

Did $107 for one night at Delano with fhr so I got $100 to spend on property so I brought an attraction package + $100 breakfast credit + free wifi. Checked out and checked in after a weekend for the same deal. The weekend was spent on Airbnb closer to the outdoor activity I had booked (kayaking & horse back riding).

Here at NoMad and we were upgraded to a similar suite as yours. This is a great hotel and worth the trip. Flew Southwest for 6600 points and $22 (which included the boss traveling as my companion). Also, the boss has her own Amex Platt and she made her own reservation here so we have to “double dip” factor working. Thank you Sebby for the great tip!

I am seeing the FHR program look a little different now. Even though it doesn’t require you to stay at least two nights, I am starting to see FHR hotels in Denver and Las Vegas hotels not being able to be booked for one night stays. It says “This hotel is not available on the dates selected”. Is this their way around the program? And if so, can you upload a new video to address this? For example, in Las Vegas, the Bellagio, previously, you were able to book a one-night stay. Now, it seems like you cannot..

Hey Sebby! Does it make sense to book 2 one night stays at somewhere like the Nomad?! That way I can use the credit for 2 nights.

tr3slech3s March 11, 2021 - 5:50 pm

So the credits don’t take away from booking price they are just an amount you wouldn’t spend normally correct?

Reply
IndyBill March 22, 2021 - 5:39 pm

Hey Sebby, I may have just missed this but I am wondering how to actually use these? When I check in at the front desk and give them my Platinum card, do I ask them about the benefits ($30 per person breakfast daily, $100 food/spa credit)? Do I charge the breakfast / food to my room and it's automatically taken off the bill? Thanks and awesome videos!

Do you just charge everything to the room and they take care of the credits or do we charge our platinums?. I’m a little confused.

How come no one is talking about the fact that there is a bathtub in the living room?

Hey guys come on in, can you pass the soap?

The prices you showed are not final room prices at all . You can't really get a 150 dollar room at Bellagio, that's before resort fees, and taxes.. probably more like 300 a night, bit yeah they advertise as 150
