MISSED OPPORTUNITY For Citi Premier And US Bank Altitude Go? – Waller’s Wallet

by YouTube Team

The Citi Premier changes go into effect in a few months and the new US Bank credit cards are being released at some point. These travel credit cards could be great options at this time. But neither bank is taking advantage of the opportunity.

Did you ever do a video on the new US bank cards? If so, I definitely missed it.

Do you know when they're releasing the Altitude Go?

I got the Citi Premier late last year, and Citi just recently refunded the annual fee without me even asking, which I thought was pretty cool.

Are these GO points transferable to Altitude Reserve to be used at 1.5X for travel?

I agree with you 💯%.. another huge miss out on US Banks part is being so strict on approving their cards. I’ve mentioned this in your comments before, and I’ve personally DM’d u on IG asking for help to get approved for the altitude reserve card. And even with a 814 credit score (and that’s according to the letter I got from them) a good income, and excellent credit history, US Bank would still not approve me. I mean are people like me really a risk because how many cards we’ve opened up in the last year? Who cares! US Bank needs to lossen up and start approving people who most likely aren’t going to be a risk for them if they want more business.

Citi and US bank definitely fell asleep while Amex and Chase made their cards attractive. I have been using my Sapphire Preferred for groceries and also got a streaming credit.

Wasn't aware they were releasing a new card you're totally correct about US Bank being conservative they're a relationship bank but what about doing this new Go card with the 4% dining sit down and having a US Bank Cash + for the fast-food and other quick places for the 5% I currently have the Cash + and notice some of the places code under fast food earning 5% and some code under the 1% so for that I now currently use my Wells Fargo Propel Amex getting 3% back on what doesn't code 5% with the Cash+ depending on the welcome bonus I may consider signing up

Is it possible that US Bank is holding off because while they want people to THINK they will get great value out of the dining/streaming, they don't ACTUALLY want people getting 4% cash back on those things very much? I mean, they can't possibly be recouping 4% based on interchange fees.

PayPal MasterCard is now offering 3% cash back for the month of June; got an email this evening going to jump on this!

Very surprised that US Bank was not proactive about their Reserve CC. Generous $325 travel credit but no effort to allow dining as an option since no one is traveling right now. Waiting for their customers to ask for a retention offer is just lazy or worst stupid.

I can't stand using Citi's website and US Bank seems to be doing everything to avoid getting any new customers, lol.

Why are all these finance/credit card/ stimulus channels suddenly doing the worried/sad face for their thumbnail? Shot is retarded.

There are very few sure things in life, but 3 of them are death, taxes and Citi Bank screwing up credit cards. As far as US Bank, nobody can ever figure them out, they’re just weird.
