So in this case the Chase Freedom beats the AmEx Gold for supermarkets for April-June.
I’ll continue to swipe everything on my CSR, if I can get 5X on groceries I’m set, I don’t need anything else lol
If you hate annual fees and don't want to worry. I think the Amex blue card everyday is great.
Zero fee. 3% at the market and 2% on gas 1% everything else. All cash back.
I like cards like this because I never have to think about it. No worry on if I'm using it enough to be worth it.
Never think about how you are going to spend points. Just grab the cash back when it post and put it against your purchases then pay the card back off.
No amount of trying to squeeze a little more out of points is worth the time and hassle.
It will be different if you travel a lot though. For us home bodies it's just easy.
All the stuff on the point stores are way over priced anyway. I don't think you get the "deals" you think you do.
Now if they would only stop trying to "upgrade" me.
Does anyone know if chase counts Walmart grocery pickup in the grocery category?
My Amex Gold does count it as grocery, but planning on applying for the Freedom to get 5x.
Can verify CSR is giving 5x points for Walmart Supercenters. My go to card for groceries is Amex Gold and I try to go only to true grocery stores to get what I need to take advantage of the 4x. This 5X on CSR is amazing and I will be using it for as long as this lasts and maybe doing some stocking up on non-perishables and some miscellaneous Walmart purchases.
Can I pay off a personal loan with a card to get the bonus? Even if I have to use something like plastiq
ask shabi?
When do these rewards become active? Went shopping today with my CFU. Wasn’t aware of any 5x points.
Can you do a breakdown of the different peer to peer apps? Venmo, Zelle, and cashapp? There isn’t many good vids on this topic lately
Is the value of 3x back on CSP better than 4x on Amex gold?
I have an unrelated question. If i bank with chase will they see my account balance and monthly deposits to consider towards acceptance on a credit card application?
Very helpful info, thank you!
My question is if American Express is its own company why does Wells Fargo have American Express on there card and some cards ? Are they partners or ?
any one has a referral link for the Amex Blue Business plus? they intro bonus and im trying to get it, thanks in advance!
FYI, you've got a shout out from Graham on his latest CC video… doesn't seem to have pushed your channel tho… 🙁
Sebby, thanks stating the obvious, that Chase's UR are transferable so better than 12x Hilton points. It took your vid to remind me of this. (I already have too many Hilton points). My intent here is to point out with CSR's 5x for grocery, this exceeds the 3x for restaurants, so I'm now going to stack up on restaurant gift cards. My local grocery store also has fuel perks, so I'll be stacking points and getting free gas in the end too (up to 30 gal each fill up). I'll buy enough cards to last till end of the year, 5x is fantastic. Keep up the good work, stay healthy. ……I missed the cap for CSR at $1500 per month. Tip to everyone, use gift cards to hit each cap. Buy a gift card now to Grocery X and use if the rest of the year.
May and June: World of Hyatt
July: Prob Delta Blue
I'm trying to get a free night(s) with Hyatt for trip next year, plus points to use on that trip. Will top off on Delta Skymiles after that in July. I have a lot of MR points so the AMEX Gold can ride the bench. Sorry CF and CSR, I'll catch you guys later this year.
Target did NOT trigger 5x on CSR, anyone else get something different?
.CHASE has just this week destroyed any chance of me dealing with THEM again !! IMO Chase has been the worst !!!
I haven't really seen any cards mentioned that are good for groceries abroad. Aside from the rotating 5% grocery category, I'm guessing a travel card would be the next best thing for this situation?
