Air Canada loyalty program is making some big changes to the Aeroplan program. These include new award charts, new ways to add value to flights, and other changes. But are these Aeroplan changes improving the program or did Aeroplan devalue their program?

Hi Dustin, thanks for this video—very informative. However, I have a question, I have been applying for multiple cards lately, I have noticed that the banks seem to rotate their pulls with all three bureaus. My last few pulls all hit my Experian report and nothing on the other two. So, can you tell me what are the normal rotations for the big banks, or how can I tell which bureau a bank is pulling from at that moment?
What's a stopover
Overall I think these changes are negative for me.
How do feel about points and miles redemptions after the pandemic? Should we redeem now or continue to stack? Thanks.
I’d take a $40 surcharge over $60+ in fuel surcharges any day.
I’m loving the new set, Dustin.
I think people might find the $30 USD fee is better than the fuel surcharges. But, your miles may vary. Take care Dustin and stay safe!
The best part of Aeroplan is being an Star Alliance program member. The worst airline to use your miles on is Air Canada itself; Thai, ANA, United etc is where you get your best value. And taxes have always been better and cheaper. If the new CIBC visa card give the chance to qualify for Super Elite status then it'll be brilliant.
Spend your points before they get devalued.
It’s crap, no staying with program
Over all the changes are negative, cost went through the roof this used to be the best in the industry today it has just gotten in line with United and Delta programs disappointed over these changes to say the least
Can you do a video on how to book through the new site? I cannot figure that shit out for the life of me
So could have a stopover in PUJ: EWR-PUJ(stopover)-GRU
Despite Punta Cana being in the North American zone?
As long as that stopover isn't in North America ( USA and Canada )?
Also South America isn't bad as you can visit 4 places for 40000 miles.
Gru-Bog(stopover)-Lim ( 20000 miles/ 10000 each.). Partners like GOL and AZUL airlines add much value as only a few Star Alliance partner with them: Copa airlines ( both ), United and Turkish airlines ( AZUL ).
Family points sharing is a huge plus as well, I wish Copa had this.
