Earlier this year I upgraded from Amex delta gold to Amex delta platinum, can I down grade to an no annual fee card? Reason is I got the amex gold card about a month ago and it fits my spending habits better than the delta amex. But I don't want to cancel because I want to keep the good credit history.
I've already redeemed over $150 in checked luggage using my Delta gold card in only 5 months of having it (5 one-way flights as of now). That's the only thing I really care about, so I'm not worried. But that's just me. YMMV
Who cares about priority boarding. Everyone leaves at the same time as the flight takes off and everyone arrives at the same time.

I think it's still worth it to keep the Delta card simply for the free checked bags. AND of you are in your first 3 months could this count as a Delta purchase? Then you get 50 back anyway making your first year in the program only $9?
I got the Delta Gold mainly for the waived check bag fees BUT it would be nice if they bumped those of us that have their credit card up to Sky Priority boarding since they pulled this shenanigan
I canceled my Delta Amex Gold card because I mainly use the Amex Gold for airline tickets and at least have Silver Medallion status. From my perspective, I can say that the 8 drink vouchers make the Skymiles Select worth it. But, keeping in mind that you still pay for checked baggage on domestic routes, it still makes sense to get any of the Delta Amex cards or the Amex Gold with its $100 annual airline credit.
Btw, about the Amex Offers, I currently have a spend $1000+ get 20k MR on ANA offer, which I'm tempted but unfortunately, it is only for departures from the US, and I am based in Japan right now. So, this is worth mentioning if you happen to be targeted for that offer.
Just got my Amex Gold Delta Card about 2 weeks ago. Just booked my flight from GA to Lax. I deserve it.
Need some help! I have 3 cards from Amex. First one is my gold card I got back in Nov 2018. Last one is my Hilton Aspire I got July 24 2019. I hit 90 days tomorrow since I got my last card. I've tried to apply for the platinum card this past week but I keep getting a message that I'm not eligible to receive the welcome bonus with like 4 possibilities that it listed. Is there a rule there a new rule that is preventing me from the welcome bonus? I have multiple friends that were able to get bonus for both the gold and platinum even though they belong to the same "family"

With the recent devaluing of the card, and my desire for the Platinum Card. Is it worth canceling the Gold Card (Because there is no "zero fee" route) and applying for the Platinum (to get the bonus).
Or upgrading the gold card IF I get the offer.
Question than, if I DONT get the offer do I cancel the Gold and get the Platinum?
Can you make a video on how you typically spend your MR points for Amex? I know if you use it for charges you get around 0.6 per point, flights & hotels for the most part are under 1 cent at least when I have looked and sometimes with gift cards you can get 1.25 if there is a deal for some select companyās. I have almost 200k in MR points but want to make sure I use it in the most efficient way possible. Iāve used it once before to buy a $1000 gift card for 80k and I thought that was great but if youāre able to get 2 cents per point Iām doing something wrong.

IMO it will for sure RUIN the priority boarding for the already crowded main group 1 as the tail end of that group is going to have to check in their bags at the gate on full flights. Now instead of leaving right away now you find out where the baggage claim is going to be at and at some airports itās terrible.
Well I have both the gold and the platinum delta. Gold going to downgrade platinum got for companion pass traveling with toddlers. I feel people aren't going to be buying these passes much. They're probably going to say they don't drink and or they are all getting on the plane anyways so boarding main 1 is not worth it. People don't even buy that insurance to cover their trip you think they're going to pay more to put their bags in the plane? Yea OK. Lol great video

I just got an interesting offer from my Platinum Card – 10K MR points to sign up for Pay Over Time. No spend requirement, just sign up. The points credited within 2-3 days. Nice freebie! OBTW, they gave me a limit of $35K for that, which makes my Platinum Card my highest-limit revolving card. Interest rate is 20% tho… so I doubt I'll ever use it.

what order should i get amex cards? I am doing this purely for the sign on bonuses (i have like 8 other cards already).
Should i start with Gold, get the sign-up bonuse and then apply for PLatinum and get that sign-up bonus? Does it work like that or would i get an upgrade bonus?
