I got the blue, green, gold, silver.
Can you compare this card to the Wells Fargo AmEx Propel?
Agreed that excessive rumor videos are ridiculous and unhelpful
Just got approved for the AmEx Green @45K + $100 Away Credit. Sorry Sebby for not using your referral offer this time as I did with my AmEx Gold. I may have to give up the Amex Gold, as I have the Platinum, Biz Gold and now the Green. Biz Gold has 4x Grocery, 4x Restaurant and 4x Gas, which is my biggest monthly spend.
CLEAR also has student pricing at $50/year for up to four years with a verified school email.
GREAT VIDEO SEBBY! This is a great breakdown of the new AMEX card. I’m more focused on building the Chase CC strategy at this time and feel like there’s more value for our family with Chase and Cap1 at this time, but maybe in the future. No matter what card you have, you must ALWAYS have a budget, follow a budget, and make sure the Budget ALWAYS WINS. Great Video! 😎👍🏻
After 20+ years of ownership I am thinking of canceling my green card.
More importantly is it metal though?
After sleeping on it, I think this could be part of an "Amex Trifecta" for somebody who flies 2-4 times a year. Gold Card, Green Card, then Blue Business Plus would really fill all categories. Many Priority Plus lounges are getting packed and are not worth it anymore, but with the green card you can get into lounges that aren't part of Priority Plus which could mean less people will access these lounges. Also the PreCheck line has gotten long, so Clear really does help with getting through security quickly.
Gold Card covers 4X restaurants, 4X groceries, 3X airlines
Green Card covers 3X hotel, 3X ride share, 3X other transportation etc
Blue Business Plus covers 2X everything else..
The annual fees for this trifecta is $400/annually, but if you find a way to use all of the perks and credits that Amex offers, you actually end up with a positive return of $20 ($100 LoungeBuddy, $100 Clear, 120 Dining, 100 Incidental).
Do you guys think this is a good idea for somebody who flies 2-4 times a year?
Hmm… I just got word yesterday that my annual fee is going up by $50 on this card. Makes sense now.
Dave Ramsey said credit cards aren’t in the Bible.
Is it Metal? lol
My friend got a green card, but it wasn't from Amex
This is actually a pretty great development for us. My main problem with AmEx Plat is the lack of multipliers and the suckiness of amextravel meant I could only use it for major purchases for the protections. Yet I do want to accumulate some MR points to use with Delta, etc.; been thinking the Gold card but that would be yet another card I would need to figure out how to use the janky airline credit with. But with this: since I travel 1-2 times a month now I have CLEAR so that reduces the effective AF to $50; now I can also use it for some of the things I use the Sapphire Reserve for, and we can probably get rid of my wife’s Sapphire Reserve additional card, saving us $75. Though that means she loses access to the CSR Priority Pass she already has her own Amex Plat which is more useful for lounges anyway. All in all gives us a way of organically earning MR as well as UR in a balanced way, for less overall AF.
Sebby I have a question about credit increases how do I get in touch with you
Hey I have an off topic question… I was approved for the chase Sapphire Preferred card but I had the card expedited will I still receive like the welcome letter etc?
The AF is not the downside here, its the credits they offer. Most ppl arent going to care for those credits. Now if they were to offer something like Amazon Prime, can you imagine how many ppl would sign up for this card???? But i can see that Amex is trying to make this a travel card
Meh, signed up for the old green wtih 30k signup bonus with AF waived. Will just make use of the credits, and hope for a gold upgrade when aniversary hits. Definitely wont be keeping this card.
Ok my question is with credit increases my sales has increased in my business so I maxed my card out 2 times in a month and paid the balance in full that month. Could they give me a increase base upon my activity
Shots fired at shifu for green card rumor videos?
Did AMEX got rid of the Foreign Transaction Fee on the new Green Card?
3 points for for travel and dining, a lot of transfer partners and $150 annual fee. Sounds like a csr with a lower annual fee.
Love the honesty on not making “rumor videos” and instead waiting for the actual damn thing to come out.
I’ve been having this card for almost a year now Coming November and I keep trying to get another card with Amex but keep getting declined? Are there any pointers I can get from anyone ?
I love this video. do you have a video on how to maximize if you are Running an AMEX trio using the free, gold and Platinum like myself ?
For this card u can make payments or has to be pay off every month ?
Thanks for another great non-bias review!
Just used your referral code. Thanks. Got Approved. Hope you get some money!!!
Video idea, do a lounge buddy one saying which airports have hotel options and what exactly terms and conditions are…For example, the Dubai location you mention does offer a hotel, however it's a MAX of six hours…While this may work for some, mainly a long layover, to the majority six hours in a hotel room is much of a perk when you could just snooze at a regular lounge for $100ish less…
Just accepted a targeted offer for $150 away credit and 45k MR points for this card
thx for the info I'm interested in the card
Do you get 1X point per dollar for other purchases different to hotels, flight tickets and restaurants??
I got a 150 membership fee why and how can I get 45k bones
As far as I am concerned this sickly green is sickly. Its about time that amex got their act together and came up with another designer for instance why not a dark mat green color with a golden colored rim to repalce the white rim. Furthermore to change the centurion logo also to a rich golden colour. As far as having a piece of plastic and having to pay an annual amount is ridiculous, yet there is one born every minute. My bankers issue me with their credit cards without any annual expenses. As far as the amex and similar cards with such annual expenses to me is a ponzzy scheme no less. But as I said there is one born every minute
The green card also offers purchase protection of 90 days that the gold card does not. That's worth considering too.
Excuse but how is this card any better than the Wells Fargo Propel?
"People who live in NY, who don't make food at home"
Covid:
Wondering if they offer delay and trip cancellation coverage
I have an odd question: Is the Amex Propel from Wells Fargo a better card because of the no annual fee? It gives 3% on many of the same categories?
Sorry a quick question, so do I get 3x with when i book directly with the hotel brand website?
I liked this spokesperson, could u pls share his details?
Great information
Applied and wow! $8500? Thanks!
