Thanks Ask Sebby! I was going to wait until October 20th just to make sure but I will be applying earlier and sending a SM. I watch your channel daily while I am studying. I love when the little dog moves around haha The Denver airport is in my area I will be applying for the Sapphire Reserve later this year to take advantage of the priority pass thanks to your review of the steakhouse!

I applied for plus credit card after watching your video and chase didn't approve it immediately (I don't have any credit cards with Chase) and asked to wait for 30 days till they make a decision.
Do you think I should apply for premier card today or wait for their decision before applying for second card ? Thanks!

Hi can we got both the bonus for business premier the same as premier card. Are they consider same or different product for the bonus?

I applied for both a Chase Sapphire preferred and Southwest premier on 8/31. I was approved for the sapphire but denied the Southwest because of "too many requests for credit or opened accounts with us". Should I try to apply again on the 29th or would I just get denied again cause it won't have been 30 days and I'd be wasting my time?

Let say you are approved for a southwest card on 9/28 and you have 90 days to hit the minimum spend requirements, that would be 12/27. how can you hit minimum spend in 2018?

I’m confused. In a previous video you said SW Airlines was doing away w the way you earn points to get the companion pass. (I thought) you said in order to earn the companion pass, you have to earn your rewards by booking flights. Please confirm as I only have a few more days to apply for this card! Thanks!

So is it two cards, and hit minimum spend on both in three months, so you gotta spend 4000 in 3 months? Correct? Or one after another

This is exactly what i was looking for the last week…thanks @Ask Sebby …
just a quick question before i apply…do you think i have a good chances to get approved for both Plus and Premier ? Not over 5/24 (i am 3/24) , score around 780 , last open account is with Chase in May (got IHG card) …it's been 4 months…do you think that will reflect for my applications ?

Ha ha by far the best idea you've had for reaching minimum spend is buying a corgi 😁

I applied and got approved for Plus card then applied for Premier and got notice that may take longer and will get answer in mail.

Hey Sebby, love the vids, man! I recently got approved for the IHG card on Sept 2nd. Would it be best for me to wait till October 2nd to apply for these cards or to take the chance on it for Sept 29th even though it would fall within Chase's 2/30 rule?

Just applied few minutes ago. got approved for one, but the 2nd one says it'll let me know by mail so I assume that means it's denied. so applied Freedom instead and got approved to complement my CSR

Sebatian, You are the best thank you for all the great info.  I had a strategy prior to watching this video.  I have about 24K points toward my companion pass for 2017.  Took a card out for my wife (60K offer) on 9/14.  I thought I could travel and spend enough to hit the additional 26K points by year end and have the pass for next year.  Now that you have shown the value of two years I am not sure what to do?  Opening my own card while the 60K offer is available is certainly and option.  What would you do?

If i sign up for both cards on 9/29/17 in order to get the 120k points that means I have till 12/29/17 to hit my min. spend, correct? Does this mean that my companion pass would only be good for 2 days left in 2017 (12/10 and 12/31) and all of 2018?

Sebby! Love your stuff. I have opened 3 cards. Want these and CSR. Can I do all three at once?

The fine print reads: "To qualify for your bonus points, you must make Purchases totaling $2,000 or more during the first 3 months from account opening. Please allow up to 8 weeks for bonus points to post to your Rapid Rewards® account."….first 3 months is pretty vague language. Using the method you discussed the points would be posted without a doubt in 2018 (90 days plus 8 weeks) but I am not sure if the POST DATE effects the numbers we are discussing. Any thoughts anyone? I sent a secure message seeking clarification.

Is the long term value worth it for the SW plus card? More specifically, is the $69 AF worth it after, say 2 or 3 years when the anniversary points are only 3000? The SW premier card still has positive value (with the anniversary points worth more than the AF). Thanks for posting great content!

Just Applied for both from 2 different browsers (Explore and Firefox) both Private…and for both cards I got a message "We need to review your request a little longer. We will let you know of our decision by U.S. Mail. This could take up to 30 days." Should I call them now ???

Thanks so much for helping all of use make the most of our cards!

Can anyone confirm that the promotion ends October 4th? I'd like to apply tomorrow just to be safe with the 90 days.

Question: I’ve had the SW Premier card for over three years now, and I’m 0/24 and 0/30. I want to cancel then reapply for the Premier after first applying for the Business card. Would it be okay to cancel my current Premier card then turn around and reapply?

Hi Sebby, I got the Southwest RR plus card in October 2017 and nearly met the spending limit before the end of the first billing cycle. On my credit card statement, the bonus points related to the amount of the purchases were shown to be transferred to Southwest.  When I checked my Southwest RR account, the points were posted within two days of the end of the billing cycle.  I made some other purchase to spend the necessary amount to complete my bonus qualifying purchase before the end of the second billing cycle which is Dec 18th, 2017. Right now, I am wonder when am I going to got this 60000 bonus? Within this calendar year or it will count for the next calendar year? I have another 50000 points already sit in my southwest account. My concern is am I going to quality for the 110k to get the companion pass. Thank you so much for your time

I like using Southwest, but i only hop on a plane once or maybe twice a year. do you have any cards to recommend that would save me cash or earn points for when i do fly? And, also do you think its worth getting one by seeing i only fly out once or twice a year. i hope you can get to me soon!
Thanks, Angel from Charlotte NC.

Hi I have a question. If I have 110k points. Once I spend the points. Will my companion pass expire because I spent the points? Also, if I spend my my points before I hit companion pass will it track? Thank you.
I understand the 60k points has expired. But the promo for 50k is still a option for me. I plan on spending 4K in 2 months. So I should be at 104k correct? Meaning I’ll only need to spend 6k more, right? Thank you. Shared the video to my cousin.

Thanks for the info. Between this and your other videos, I was able to get both personal cards (3 days before they blocked people from getting both personal cards) and my companion pass is on the way with plenty of time to spare before our vacation in September

Hey Sebby, thanks for the vids! One question. I have 124,000 points as of Jan 1, 2018. When I book a flight using points, can I book a companion for free? Someone told me I had to actually pay for the ticket when I use the companion pass, I can't use points. Is this true? Thanks
