I am a cardiac ICU and heart transplant Physician Assistant. Same thing, 6 figure salary, comfortable life. But eventually my true passion is health care POLICY. and making changes to create a more cost-efficient and patient centered system. Yes I think about leaving my job all the time. But my problem is that I don’t really have a career I’m super passionate about like you do, so I’m afraid that leaving wouldn’t make a huge difference for my happiness – so I’m stuck doing this job for a while I guess.

Thanks for being so honest. It’s refreshing to see someone follow their passion like this. I’m a registered nurse with a really good Federal job/salary, but def. question often why I don’t follow my passion. I’m also enjoying my 5 & 1/2 month old first born and making memories is my priority while maximizing rewards for next trip 😁

Where did you work? Big chain? CVS? I'm a pharmacist at rite aid and I love it sooo much. But I have tons of friends who work for other companies and some hate it. And the most hated is always cvs

My unsolicited advice is to create multiple income streams, if you have not done so already.
