Quadfecta:
1. Business Platinum
2. Business Gold
3. Personal Gold
4. BBP

I always did cash back or co-branded cards, but the Personal Gold sucked me in!

Duo for me.
Gold card earns me close to 90,000 pts annually and I use the Plat Delta card. The free annual companion pass totally outweighs the fee.

Current setup… EDP, BBP, and vanilla Platinum. I have a ton of grocery spending so the EDP is my workhorse when I'm not working on min spend

Have a BBP and Gold card for my wife. Easy enough for her to follow. I use those plus Chase Freedom, Discover it and CSR.

Tha ks for the video. I'm thinking about getting the platinum schwab and cancel my regular platinum. Do you think it makes sense?

I have 8 AMEX so I go back and forth between the Delta Reserve, Gold, Aspire, And BBP. I will probably cancel the Platinum, don't get much use out of it.

I really enjoyed this one Dustin. I think my ideal rotation would be the Gold, Green, and Blue Business Plus. I just dont travel enough at this point in my life to justify the $550 Platinum Card. Great video and happy travels!

I am kindof maxed out on amex (use no chase cards really), so I run a 6 cards setup : Business Platinum, Business Gold, Gold, BBP, Green, and the Rakuten VISA…

Starting in January I will be using the Business Platinum for 5x airfare due to the added travel protections, and currently gold and business gold for 4x dining groceries gas and computer / tech stuff, 3x general travel including transit and hotels, 3x + Rakuten bonuses on most online shopping and in store for most stuff with the Rakuten VISA, and BBP for 2x on everything else…

The one spend category I dont use is platinums 5x on hotels currently because i find I get better value with other hotel cards, or I can even use the amex green and get 3x on air bnb, travel portals if booking a non chain hotel where I have a better hotel keeper card

I also have the Schwab Platinum and a very old Everyday card which are mostly at home but the Schwab card is also complementary if you want to book flights direct with the airline, and I also have authorized users for my parents, brother, and wife so they each have centurion lounge, priority pass, and gold hilton and marriot statuses…

It might seem like alot of annual fees but with amex, the various signup, referral, and renewal bonuses and credits easily offset the annual fees once I do the math… I find that amex is probably the smartest card issuer that creates an ecosystem where most of the cards will complement each other and annual fees can be offset if you plan it out, they have the best customer support, and they really know how to reward and retain their loyal customers

The only card I will need to see if I will retain after the next year is the Green Card… Currently it has a net positive value due to the signup bonus, but I may need to see whether I can get enough value from it after year 1…

For my wife, she uses a 3 card rotation for everyday use: Gold card, BBP, and Rakuten VISA… This works well because I am the points person in the family and will always be the one who books most rewards and other travel for our family

Schwab plat
5x flights
1x on hotels but average $100-$200+ savings thanks to hotel status, not paying food at airports thanks to the lounge. Also, a great cash card.
Amex green
4x on restaurants
EDP
30 plus transactions regularly
3x on gas
4.5x on groceries
1.5 on everything else.

Made 20k points in. November, thanks to on trip to the food and wine expo at Disney World.

Current: 1: Business Blue Plus 2: Gold Cards 3: Green Card ($0 fee in year 1 since I got it before the change). I think I'm to ultimately settle on BBP and Gold.

Curious, what do you recommend if I fly internationally round Asia once a year? Also, most of my expenses would go towards food/drinking at #1, shopping/amazon at #2, and gas at #3.

I think I may go with this two card setup
1. American Express Gold Card
2. Hilton Honors Surpass Card

They cover a large amount of categories; I can transfer MR points to Hilton for more points to go further; credits to offset the $250 annual fee for the Amex Gold; downgrade path for the Hilton Honors card if this strategy ultimately doesn't workout; and, so much more. I'm not big on high annual fees, but I think this will fit perfectly into my lifestyle.
