Hey, I want to use your portal to apply to a Bank of America premier rewards, however I was not able to find that card. When it’s comes to Air BB. Super host is the way to go, I read a lot of reviews it’s time consuming but totally worth it Thank you for this video

5:25 So true…I've met hosts that shown me how easy it is to "just start over."

One last tip for guests, run a search for the host's profile pic. Simply right-click their profile image on Airbnb and select Search Google for Image and scroll down the results page to see where else that pic appears online. A smart host uses a unique photo. I've seen hosts rip their pics off someone else's soc media account. Some hosts are dumb enough to take them straight from Shutterstock or Unsplash. Google can be scary good at finding photos.

Allie Conti's story from Vice was very compelling for sure and has gotten lots of press. The fact that the FBI is now looking into Allie's story certainly raised interest.

Thanks for the dead-on analysis Dus, another great vid!

I read this article a few days ago. It does make you a nervous about using AirBnB. But like you state there are definitely ways to reduce your risk. I am a vehement review reader. So that is one way to make sure you have less of a scam chance. Also contact the host about something kinda nonchalant. We ask about early check in most of the time or type of coffee maker. If they are easy to reach and are more helpful, they are most likely less of a scammer as well.

Great video for people that use AirBNB or even those that are curious about it. How does the price per night compare to a 3 star hotel?

Thanks for sharing. No one is too smart to fall victim to the vast array of internet fraudsters and romance scammers tend to have their formula that continues to fool unsuspecting victims into handling their money, sometimes hundred of thousands of dollars with romance scam case. i was involved with someone from Facebook for about a year before trouble hit, he took a lump of money from me but there was a slight twist to my story. being scammed is embarrassing and devastating but do not lose hope yet because help is out there. if you have been scammed, gather all the evidence and info involved and seek assistance with David@La-acfe. com government officials that offers a list of investigation and restitution services for free that can assist you during this difficult time.

Great points! Having used HomeAway over the last decade, all of those resonate with me!

I'd say the 'staying on the platform' is the single most important thing for anyone using these services, as well as booking on Credit Card.

I'm instantly put off by anyone suggesting direct payments. The only time I'll ever consider it is if it's a specific individual I have booked several times with…even then you leave yourself open to risk.

Thank you so much for sharing. This video might have saved me from a scam. It was my first time booking with Airbnb. I saw a house that was pretty nice for less than half the price. It said must contact the super host for up to date availabilities. The super host sent me an “invitational” email with a link to proceed with my booking. It also stated I had to pay in full with a deposit within 24hrs. In addition, the day after I contacted the super host, I wanted to take another look at the house but it was nowhere to be found on Airbnb site. In the payment section, I had to wire funds from my checking account or credit card payment into another person’s account somewhere in Spain. It wasn’t as simple as I had expected so I started to do some research and came across your video. Thanks again!

Hi, thank you for your video!! Just curious, when you were bargaining down the price with different AirBnB hosts, would you recommend them changing the price through the app, so that way they don't take the business off the platform? Did it every work for anyone and go smoothly? I just had a host in another country offer me a lower price, but it's not on the platform…Shouldn't he be changing the official price On the platform? I'm nervous about scams, please any info would help!

You should do another updated video about this. I am currently looking for rental in Hawaii and coming across scammers. Seems like air bnb and vrbo is filled with scammers. I would be glad to share the information and what I've learned from this. And my wife and are doing this now as I type this. Glad I came across your video.
