The new benefits from Chase and Amex are really cool. Too bad they’re temporary, but definitely much appreciated.

I like the chase ink cash over the ink prefer because of its 5x on cell phone and internet bills. and it has no annual fee.

I applied for the Chase freedom and got denied with a 774 credit score?! Anyone have any reason why you think this would happen? Thanks

I’m glad you mentioned that I downgraded my Sapphire reserve to the Sapphire Preferred and got the Charles Schwab platinum and then cashed out 225,000 Amex points and I’ve turned that into double in my stocks, Keep doing what you’re doing brother I enjoy all your videos

I've made so many points in this pandemic, 5X on groceries was amazing. I hope Chase adds groceries as a permanent category to the Sapphire. And how about getting rid of only 1 sapphire per customer and making the preferred compliment the reserve. Add groceries as a permeant multiplier. When I signed up for instacart i got the credit for signing up for the subscription, and it also triggered my travel credit. So I received $20 back!

Looking to get into Chase cards. Does new cardmember bonus apply to any Chase cards? So, for example should I wait and first apply for Sapphire instead of a Freedom for the bigger sign up bonus?

Should I update my Chase Ink Plus/Business (no annual fee) to the Chase Ink Preferred? I'm military so I wouldn't pay an annual fee, but what other benefit is there?

Oh dang, I thought 5x on groceries was through 9/30 on CSR. Good thing I watched today!

Is there anything funny going on with purchase erasing? Like are you losing the points that you made on those purchases, so the value is less than expected?

I used my sapphire preferred card to pay for movie bundlesI had on planned to buy on vudu and received the 5x bonus. So if you are buying things from your streaming services, you may just hit that $1500

I applied on July 24 for the freedom card. Do I qualify for the 5% on groceries for a full year? I cannot find any reference to it in the paperwork I received or checking online in my account.

Hi Shifu, thanks for this video—very informative. However, I have a question, I have been applying for multiple cards lately, I have noticed that the banks seem to rotate their pulls with all three bureaus. My last few pulls all hit my Experian report and nothing on the other two. So, can you tell me what are the normal rotations for the big banks, or how can I tell which bureau a bank is pulling from at that moment?

Been thinking about applying for my first Chase card after getting denied in January and bumping my credit up +50 points since. Glad I saw this video and paired it with other research I've been doing, super helpful! Thank you Credit Shifu, I'll document what happens on my channel!

And another update for those who wanna know: On the Amazon Prime Visa Signature Card, the category that’s usually 1% cashback just got bumped to 2% on all purchases until 10/30 (so for the next 2 months and some change, it has the citi double cash card + more)

I do most of my groceries shopping at Costco. Which chase trifecta card is good for that?

Reply
Steven Tomasello August 16, 2020 - 11:47 am

You should do a video for people with high credit scores (815+) , 6 figure income, low debt and still get denied a chase card due to only having 1 previous credit card. I can’t make sense of it. Not one payment missed in over 15 years.
