I used points from my Hilton credit card to book the DoubleTree in Taipei, it was a quite luxurious experience. There are three personal Hilton cards from American Express that can enable you to earn Hilton points and stay in hotels for free. You can also earn Hilton Gold Status.

Keep the hotel-related videos coming! It's really fun to watch how many points each stay costs and what the rooms look like! 😆

Looking at the daily average rate for this hotel it’s about ~180. 180/50000 = 0.36 cents per point. Most blogs value these points at 0.5-0.6 cents per points. Nice hotel but seems to be a lower end redemption.

Nice review! I got the Hilton Aspire last year when they briefly waived the annual fee for the first year and my points just hit by account! I'm staying in a DoubleTree this weekend too! So excited

Credit Shifu, on American Express’s website they are advertising something new: “For the first time ever, we can access your credit history in select countries outside the U.S. through Nova Credit, which could help you get approved for an American Express Card.” I wanted to make sure you knew about this! 😀

Think it might be 10k Hilton points for Double Tree Kuala Lumpur a great hotel to stay in. Have a look at some pics online. Executive Lounge has view of Twin Towers & has great pool. Good breakfast selection to start the day.

How do you like the location relative to metro and things you want to do?
I imagine the value would be better if you were able to book 5 nights with points.

Definitely like the hotel and travel videos! However, what I like the most is that you are doing all of your travels with a family! This is great because not many folks in this space do family travel. You should make videos about how you travel with the family.

Stayed at this hotel last year for 1 night. I agree it is a nice hotel as its newly opened and modern. Good neighborhood. Room was ready with requested pack n play. Breakfast was good as well, they also gave us some free sodas/water that were in the mini fridge

Hi Credit Shifu, I think you are really good at explaining things—with graphics and all… I want to request a video from you; I recently attained the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Bold card, and I am confused on how I can maximize the best value with this card. First of all, I cannot seem to understand how the points and the elite nights work. I read or misread in the exceptionally long rules & restriction section on Chase’s site about the points and the elite nights and I’m more confused. Therefore, can you make a video showing how to get the best value, or if it has any real value? Keep in mind that I do not have the finances or credit history to qualify for the high-end trifecta cards from Chase and/or AMX. I’m hoping you can help those of us who cannot get those cards, with a combination of no annual fee cards that can help with hotel and travel. Just to give you an idea of where I am in the “card game;” I already own the top cards from CapitalOne: the Savor card (annual fee waived—I was “grandfathered in”), the Ventured card ($95 fee), the Quicksilver card (no fee), Bank of America Cash Rewards card (no fee), Chase Business Preferred Ink card ($95 fee), and the card I’m asking about; the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Bold (no fee).

I really can’t afford another annual fee card at this time. Thanks for doing these kinds of videos, they are so helpful.

Idk why your hotel videos don’t get as many views as your other types of videos. I think they’re so interesting and well edited. Keep uploading them, they’re entertaining!
