Ben, I currently have flights from Sydney to Honolulu where we'll spend five days and then catch a cruise to Vancouver, spend two days there and then fly to Texas. If my cruise gets canceled before we leave Sydney, would that trigger any insurance or just the nonrefundable portion? And if we only get credit, that's not actually a refund so could we fight to get our $7k back as cancellation insurance?

I've been trying to get my trip reimbursed that I booked with Chase points for the last 2 months, its giant pain in the ass. Probably easier if you booked with cash.
I’m so glad I listen to your shows. Learning about credit card insurance and stuff like that; makes me feel more comfortable knowing I should be able to get my money back on a holiday I booked for next month which now isn’t taking place due to what’s going on in the world
My wife (ukrainian) got really lucky to fly before Ukraine officially close its border the day before. LOL also usually my wife takes lufthansa but this time I got Wizz and luckily for us, it did not cancel because Lufthansa cancel all flights on the same day my wife flew out.
