According to a document that was shared by a reddit user from the American Express website, there may be two new amex cards coming out in 2020. Could this be the Amex Optio card that has been rumored for some time? Above the Amex Platinum and below the Amex Centurion.

The Amex Optio Titanium card
In Asia it's still called a charge card
i dont think its a good idea for platinum members to be downgraded if it does not remain the premium AMEX card that you can apply for. At 550 already its charging the most fee of any card issuers and AMEX is making a mistake downgrading it, if thats the case. I will probably cancel it and just use the gold if that happens. At 550 any downgrading of perks is so not worth it.
One new card between platinum and centurion makes sense. Two will probably make them lose customers as the platinum will lose what is left of it's "prestige". So I think one card is smart and will get a lot of new customers. Two will be a bad move…..
Giving there above plat I can't afford them any way so ah cool I guess.

So people who don’t use the pay over time feature of the platinum card and spend a certain amount a year will be invited to apply for the new black charge card.
My guess is the titanium card will be the next level and the centurion card/black card will be invite only versions where the centurion is top 1% of amex customers, and the black card is top 5% or something like that

One of those "placeholders" is for the Centurion Card replacement card, which is the previous version of the Centurion Card. The new revised card's materials aren't holding up so they are replacing with the previous version of the card upon request. Amex is working on new material for the revised version of the card, hopefully, its the same material as the previous version.
I wonder if amex is still going forward with this plan with the current financial situation, or if it will be delayed.
Well – you know that some (however still not all) of the Centurion cards are made of Titanium? I guess it is just this.

With all do respect, I believe the original rumor is completely fake. Take a very close look at the document that is being displayed. Under Titanium they have Magstripe and Contact Chip completely spelled out, the others are abbreviated. Plus, why is it missing Duel interface when all the other cards are that way??? Looking at the black bold line across the page looks as if someone was not able to remove it when they were cutting and pasting.
Thought you would like to know, I have an Amex plat and just got off the phone to discuss something on my account. So I asked the rep if they have some new cards coming out I had heard about and she told me to stay tuned, I then asked is it she doesn't know or she just cant tell and laughingly said the later. So it looks like its right around the corner. I've asked before and the reps had no idea of what I was talking about, this time she did. Imagine that.
