Chase is giving select cardmembers of its Sapphire Reserve card a $100 statement credit, to offset the annual fee which increased to $550 as of April 1st 2020. The Chase Sapphire Reserve is one of my go to travel credit cards and a great card to get if you want to earn Chase UR points.

I already paid the $550 AF in February..
Sucks for those of us that already got hit with it and cant travel…
So I received the notification but my fees are wavied for military, do I get the credit still?
Not to be that guy.. but that’s a good start. Probably not enough to keep people from canceling or downgrading. I myself gonna downgrade to preferred. Haven’t even used my $300 travel credit yet either. Maybe thrown in 10k ur’s for some spend.

Chase has been excellent recently. I had a big trip to South Korea and Hong Kong planned for the middle of April with a majority (main flights and most hotels) of things booked through Chase (all non-refundable) and they really stepped up to the plate in helping me get in contact with hotels and negotiating refunds and things.
This rebate is the cherry on top but in reality they won't be reimbursing any travel credits for a while so it's a drop in the bucket for them 🙂

Chase doing a good job. They added streaming service for Q2 to chase freedom card
They also added a new 5% category for Freedom card! Since ther gyms and fitness clubs are closed.

I got the message from chase today it’s legit
American Express gave me $500 credit for not canceling my account last week.
I wanted to upgrade to the CSR in June. I wonder if they would credit the $100 for those who want to do this as well.

Yea, I am still going to cancel the Reserve. Makes no sense for me at the present. May apply for it again in the future, and get the signup bonus.
