To be honest I love my gold card. 💳 But I only have been using it for, the dining Credit.🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤣😂😂 But am keeping it they gave me, a 0% APR for 6 billing cycles.
Soooo…new AE Platinum owner here, thinking about getting a Gold as well. I also have an American Airlines citi card that I have been racking and stacking miles on. I can transfer AE points to my American Airlines and vise versa? I have been seriously considering on transferring my AA miles to British Airways and then doing the same with my AE points as well for a trip to Italy. Any and all advice is appreciated.
The gold card was so bs and all these card sites promoted the hell out of it for referrals and extra from Amex. Truth is, unless you max the 4 point categories, this is a lame card. That food benefit is a joke so take that off the table when figuring up the value for yourself. Truth is: it’s the 100 credit and the 4x spend categories. Very very lame card. At least with the green you would make up your annual fee easily enough. Unless your really spending in the 4x categories, you’ll never make up that $150 that’s left from the airline credit. Lame lame lame card.
Translation: it doesn’t fit with my spend.
For me this is a cancel it doesn’t make sense after the signup bonus and neither does the green I’ll be applying for the BCP
Grandmaster Shifu, (et. al.), what happens to credit scores when credit cards are cancelled? Let's take an example of what I'm debating: I have had the United Explorer card for about 3 years and the Freedom Unlimited for a few months (among others, but let's take these two as an isolated example). Therefore, my average credit age is the average of these two cards, lets' say 1.5 years. if I cancel the Freedom Unlimited, will my average credit age move back up to the age of the United card and therefore increase my credit score because the average credit age increased?
The whole picture is that I was recently approved for the Ink Unlimited, so I don't really have a need for both that and the FU, hence my cancellation consideration. But maybe that is an additional option – cancel the youngest card (Ink Unlimited) after I have gotten the signup bonus?
Why not get a BBP for that huge tax and non category spend ? 2x per dollar , because that's what I do to accumulate a lot of points
I'm at over 100,000k points in 3 months 😉
Does Amex Gold have any MR points on booking hotels? I’m not talking about the ‘Hotel. Colection’ credit.
$2090 of savings for my platinum card for the last 5ish month. This is due to a lot of unnecessary shopping (guilty pleasure) and referrals.
Does the new Amex Business Gold still allow you to choose 2 categories to earn an additional 1x each year?
Love your video: feel so sorry that Amex in Italy is totally different.. we have no such stats on the web site and no extra points for restaurants or supermarkets…. 1 euro is equivalent to 1 point, no matter where you spend it. Plus 1 shop out of 3 doesn’t accept the Amex due to very high commissions fee….
The thing is that Europe is poor on multipliers. There're none apart from 2x points for booking flights via carriers website or 3x per GBP when spent on Amex travel. No such thing as 4x on dining. If that was the case I'd be on thousands of points already. Shame.
99 ranch!!!
That yung guy sucks
80000 points = $1200? Did I hear that right?
Any idea if Amex will offer their other Platinum credit card as a metal card in the near future? (I'm not referring to the widely available flagship Platinum card)
great videos and insight into the world of credit cards, personal finance and rewards. Would you ever make videos or do you know of any good ones on credit cards for Ireland, UK and Europe please?
They just fuckin approved me for this card!!
Amex gold also gives 3x on plane tickets booked directly with airlines.
Gold user here, I’m quite new to Amex, but not sure if it’s the right card for me yet. If I cancel before the 2nd year fee applies, is there a way to transfer points? If I open another points card (one with no fee), and then cancel the gold card, is this a get around?
Ease explain the extea reward points at shoprite. Im from South Africa and thats our largest retailer
Hello i wanted to ask you i am new with credit and charge cards but the platinum and the gold catching my eye but the main thing I’m going for is centurion lounge access and the concierge service does the gold card have this?
Wats the income and credit score requirement?
If I have a CSP and a Blue Cash Everyday, should I get this card or chase freedom
This is not a real life review this is a bunch of silly tricks and overspending
Is Amex Gold reported to your credit report monthly?
Where the British content
LOL, I’ve been a Gold Amex Member since 2016. Definitely keeping the card.
Amex was offering me 35K points for $4K spend over 6 months. When I got the card, I called to activate and confirm the offer. They told me the bonus offer had been reduced to $4K over 3 months. I immediately filed a complaint and they said it would take 3 weeks. I asked if I could send over the screenshot of my offer and they said no. When I called back to find out the decision, they said the $4K in 3 months stands. The agent offered to reopen the case with my screenshot but it would take 6-8 weeks for a decision. What nonsense. Such a terrible experience.
Soo that means all 55k who view this video sign up.
No one gets 55k in referrals, very unrealistic perspective as a card holder
This man spends $30K from his amex card alone, and hes got several credit cards. Hes makin bank
2.5% fee for Plastiq is high!
Need year two not year one
I have a question about what’s the best credit card to get for dental school.
Does it hurt your score to cancel it ?
