i applied for the hilton honors about 7 weeks ago i hit the minimum spend the first week i called amex two days ago and they never gave me my sign up bonus due to applying for manny cards this year and that was really strange

Is it still worth it to renew the Amex Platinum? I’m struggling to find a quantitative reason with the airline credit usage downgrade recently.
For those who are curious, there is no annual fee for the Express card and a $95 annual fee for the surpass.
I'd like to apply for the AMEX Hilton Surpass card but I'm still working on my 5/24 with 3 slots open. Do you think it worth it to burn a 5/24 slot on the AMEX Hilton Surpass? If you were in my shoes would you use a 5/24 slot?

Hilton has always been very good to me. The ONE time I had an issue that had to be escalated, they refunded the room…gave me 40,000pts to say they were sorry…and gave me the direct phone+email for the CEO if I ever have any concerns in the future. That was above & beyond to fix a few relatively small issues.
I have a question for you, I’ve been thinking of applying for the Hilton Honors Surpass but I also have been waiting to apply for the Boundless from Chase. I’m currently 5/24 and in December I’ll be 3/24. Would you recommend me to apply for the Surpass and then in December for the Marriott Boundless?

I recently checked my pre-qualifications at AMEX and applied for the no AF HH card with 100k points for $1k spend (instead of the 90k with $2k spend). I wonder if that special offer will decrease after the 28th as well? I decided to take that offer and then I'll cross my fingers for a Surpass upgrade in a year to get another bonus.
So sad that I'm going to miss out on this but hope they'll do a similar offer in December
