If you’ve traveled through LAX, then you’ve likely heard of the new ride-sharing pick-up process called LAXit. This is a new process for both Uber and Lyft, and is likely coming to airport (and venue) near you!

Have you used the new LAXit ride-sharing process? Have you seen it being used anywhere else? Let me know! 😉
Have not but you video demystifies a lot of the "bad" press it initially received. Seems to be a good plan. I always drove to LAX (parked in Lot C) and took the shuttle, or flew out of SNA. Flying in LAX, my first request to a taxi was / is always to stop at the In-N-Out.
Uber is almost always more expensive than Lyft. Nowadays, the fare keeps on increasing and there are many drivers who can't drive (not sure how they passed their driving exam). If you are going to Vegas or San Francisco, just take bus and BART.
Great info on LAX Uber and Lyft. 👍🏽
New Orleans just started this with the opening of the new airport.
Hey folks, we have a $100 airline credit from our amex gold we need to use by the end of the year. We aren't tied to a single airline as we haven't chosen one yet. Any ideas on how we can use this??? 🙂
The most efficient way of Uber or Lyft I have ever experienced was in Seattle where they had 3 floors of a parking structure dedicated to it. The driver would park in a spot and pin which spot and on what floor was on. It was a quick in and out.
How does this effect travelers being pick up (non taxi) can people still drive in?
if you don't want to fall in line, and go to LAX-it, just ride the free G shuttle bus and take an uber/lyft at LAX/aviation station. it's actually 10$ cheaper and faster.
This has NOT helped the traffic! Ironically because of all of this – there is more traffic getting into the airport than ever before. Instead of arriving 3 hours before my flight departure (international flights) – I will be leaving 4 hours because no kidding – it can take me 45 minutes getting to my terminal…so screw LAXit
And still it takes my brother about an hour for an Uber at the lot… I'm looking into options of hiring someone to pick me up at the terminal as it's not worth walking to the LAXit lot… my time does matter…
I do live within 10 minutes of the airport so the Flyaway would only make my Uber a lot more expensive. I'm going to hotel shuttle it and then pick up my Uber there.
Surprising how they managed to destroy not part, but essentially the entire value proposition provided by ride sharing services: better service, lower priced, convenience, flexibility and time saving.
“Oh your long flight on the Greyhound bus in the sky wasn’t aggravating and exhausting enough. Well, now go wait in line for slow, crowded buses, and shitty service!” Thanks Califormunist a-holes.
Thank you
Thank you! Out of all the videos regarding the new Uber/Lyft Pick-up at LAX, I found yours to be the most helpful.
It only takes me 20 minutes. How long does the line usually take?
Very valuable info. Thank you!
I’m just glad this doesn’t happen at JFK airport 😂
I watched the video a few times to make sure I didn’t miss the info I was looking for but it simply wasn’t there. I’ve never been picked up before. What I really wanted to know is how to get to terminal 1 if you are coming from a terminal far away? What should I do and what should I expect? Are there shuttles to terminal 1. Do I then get picked up by a different shuttle? If so, why can’t these shuttles pick us up from every terminal. Anyone know?
This was so helpful, thank you 🙏🏻
Great Info.
Once the APM (Automated People Mover) goes into service, then LAXit will go away for good. People mover will also replace the C (green) line shuttle as well.
I heard that the LAXit lot is going to eventually be used for Concourse 0 but that wont start until the people mover is in service.
I believe San Diego international airport also uses the PIN system for Uber and Lyft.
Thank you for this helpful video! I did have a question about the Uber pin code. Does the pin code automatically pop up when you open the Uber app at LAX? Or do you request a ride at LAX and the pin code shows up?
great video! so helpful. Greetings from Mexico City.
When do I call Uber? How long does the pin last?
