Wish Chase and/or Priority Pass would re-absorb Timberline Grille (DEN) and Rock & Brews (LAX) so I actually use PP
The worst thing about delta are their flight routes. Flying out of Houston, it’s impossible to get a direct flight anywhere other than their hubs. Why do I have to fly to Salt Lake City just get to phoenix?
Plaid is involved in a lawsuit right now too haha
Hi Seb! Long time viewer of your channel, I’ve banked a few thousand $’s in my double cash card. Are those convertible into thank you points? Or is it only from spend now going forward. Thanks!
5:01 Brian Jelly
TPG wants to monetize you just like AA does. If you go to AA website you see their deals and what they are selling. TPG wants you to see what they are selling.
I think some sort of buyout by chase is the potential end game. Like a 100k SUB, put it out there to hype people up, draw their attention, and then yank it and make them yearn for it
Well, if Chase ever does an exclusive (to their card) Sapphire lounge, they should open one in LAX terminals 1, 2 or 3. Amex's lounge is only available to international flyers out of Tom Bradley (or those who want to take the time to get on shuttles and go through the TSA twice).
Seriously great video, and mad respect for what you do and the info you give. But also, I got a kick out of “Brian Jelly!” 😂
I’ve made mistakes like that too many times to count, so maybe that’s why I found it so funny.
The real winner in the lawsuit is our favorite content creators. They get more content to post about.
So I guess that means TPG wins for the free marketing from everyone.
Hey Sebby, love the content. Appreciate all the good info.
Have a quick question about traveling to Europe on points, seems like out of the East Coast its pretty easy. But from West Coast it seems more difficult from what I am seeing. Trying to use Amex to fly from PNW to Frankfurt. What would you recommend in this case?
America, the land where you can sue anyone for anything.
Brian Jelly haha
No offense Sebby, but you talk way too fast. Try to slow it down a bit so it’s easier to understand the good content you’re putting out. Keep up the good work.
Sebby what do you think about applying for ink unlimited on 03/22?
i got sapphire 07/15/21
ink cash 12/25/21
Flex 01/15/22
am i being to aggressive or it doesn't matter?

Why American Airlines is suing sebby
AA is the absolute worst. Fly anyone but them or their partners (sadly this includes jet blue on the east coast now).
Chase seems to be doing this strategy for all of their lounges. I visited a Chase “Sapphire lounge” near South Street Seaport in Manhattan and it seemed like anyone could just walk in, no Chase card required. They didn’t even offer anything at the lounge – you had to pay for the food and drinks.
Yeah I’m aware AA sucks when it comes to customer service. But I use their miles to fly JAL. It’s the most valuable U.S. frequent flier carrier followed by United (because they’re in an alliance with ANA). Sorry Delta, no Japanese airline in the SkyClub is a deal breaker for me.
On the topic of AA vs TPG, I’m gonna have to side with AA. 🤷🏻♂️ Perhaps TPG can also invest in getting someone to finish their an Android version of their app.
I think the Sapphire Reserved should have free membership to Priority Pass and free entry. And the Sapphire Preferred should have free membership and pay a fee each entry. Otherwise it shouldn’t be called a Sapphire lounge. Sapphire lounge makes it seem like both Sapphire cards have access to the lounges.
Chase is for new beginner student but hopefully stable for me Amex still my favorite credit cards the down side for Amex is most difficult to approve your credit score at least above 700
TPG could put in an option for manual entry for any airline hotel, etc and their info. Name, points, cpp value, exp date etc etc etc.
It would all be entered by the user. AA wouldn’t have a case at that point.
"Surprised" about the lawsuits between American Airlines and TPG. Heard a few podcasts from Brian Kelly and the director of loyalty with American Airlines. Everything always seemed to be a good relationship between the two. Although the question was (a few times), why not allow direct transfer from American Express to American Airlines?. AA pretty much gives a decent response about it's their brand and don't want to dilute / confuse their brand.
Chase should build, acquire or beef up lounges in the airports located in the top 20 leisure markets: LAX (ie Disneyland), ORL (Disney World), NYC/ORD, etc. I image that most business travels would most likely gravitate toward AMEX Plat, so it makes sense for Chase to target leisure travelers and the destination that they frequent. Further, I think Chase should make the J.P. Morgan Reserve Card one that you can apply for. This card could be the card that competes with AMEX – higher than the Platinum Card but lower than the Centurion Card – estimated annual fee $1295. That's my two cents worth! BTW I really enjoy the channel.
Yes a lounge in PHX would be nice. But with no fix for lounge access at my home base of LAX in sight there’s no way I’m renewing the CSR. Third busiest airport in the world and the best priority pass can do for me is 10% off at a souvenir shop?? Off to the dark side (Amex) I go…. where there’s already a lounge in PHX anyway
Hi Sebby, believe Wealthfornt is being acquired by UBS, which i think is good.
Don't sue me lol but the only winners in these lawsuits are the over-paid lawyers 😀
My question with the double cash: I'm on the verge of downgrading my prestige and realized that the low end cards like the rewards+ and custom cash CC don't allow you to transfer to other airlines except JetBlue, which then mostly nerfs the benefits of having thankyou points from my perspective. I suspect this will also be true for the double cash so that you will feel the need to have a card with an annual fee like the premier or prestige to make your thankyou points potentially worth more, sorta like how having the reserve gets u 1.5x redemption value when u use it for booking travel but only more restrictive
One of my complaints with lounges is that they're not always located conveniently near the gates I fly and it's always stressful trying to figure out how much time I need to get to my flight. I would love to see Sapphire lounges have a smaller presence, but multiple locations in larger airports. Maybe a single lounge in something smaller. Maybe early morning or late night, they only operate one of their lounges to have a product for customers without the need to staff a 50,000 sqft facility.
Not gonna lie, I laughed when I saw the Brian "Jelly" dramatization. 😄
@Sebby, Is it confirmed durectly by chase that a non chase priority pass holder can get access? To my understanding the only place I've seen this(besides regurgitated in the blogosphere) is in a slide deck from chase/the club at a Massport meeting regarding a minimum revenue guarantee for the logan and the commonwealth. I think people are relying too much on this, I equate it similar to Uber with a TAM equal to the entire transportation market, as to try and hype up the revenue potential when it's really much lower. Finally, in regards to chase acquiring the club, that's not going to happen. I don't think chase wants all that risk and they may have to buy the global portfolio not just US, that's even if Collinson will sell it which is unlikely.
I love how you spotlighted The Club at BWI, lol, which is my closest airport. I’ve read the reviews and they’re generally not great, but that’s pretty much what I expected. I would probably have to fly out of Dulles or Reagan National to get a nice lounge, and they’re both more expensive to fly out of and farther away (and the DC traffic is awful for those who are unfamiliar).
Hey Sebby. Really like you videos. I tried watching other channels but I like your way of putting things out the best.
The one and only complaint I have is that you with the audio. Whatever you’re doing with it it’s adding a lot of bass to your voice. So much so that I can’t watch your videos even with a small Bluetooth speaker.
LETSSSSSSSSSSSSS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 🤙🏽 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Just great branding and publicity.
I find it surprising it's taking so long for Phoenix Sky Harbor to have more lounges as it consistently ranks in the top 10 busiest airports in the US. I opened an Amex platinum card as soon as it was announced a Centurion Lounge was coming, now the irony is that it'll also grant me access to this new Sapphire/Club Lounge. With the annual fee on the Sapphire Reserve coming up, it's becoming less and less of a value proposition to keep.
Great video Sebby, love the new updates and finding out about Phoenix getting some deserved Lounge Love.
I fly out of San Diego and even I'm wondering how they chose San Diego for one of their lounges.
Holy shit really? Damn I still have 30k miles with American from international travel I use to do oooooof
