Just what i like, automatically adding the offers!
Would this work with something like QuadPay? Or would the category be washed off the transaction?
Does anyone know if the select travel catagory includes airbnb? Because airbnb doesn't count as timeshare
I spend a lot of money in bowling alleys. It’s one of my hobbies. Would that go under live entertainment?
Sebby, Totally different question: What boxing match did you go see? Was it the Mayweather fight? As a boxing fan, I was excited to see that picture with the ring in the background.
and my churning game continues…thanks Sebby! Just got approved
Foreign transaction fee?
Live entertainment is a great category if interested in citi points. What’s cool is there’s always the citi presales for concerts and events, so it’s a good combo. Can easily spend 500 bucks on a big pair of concert tickets. Then maybe when not using it for concerts one month plug in gas or one of the other harder to cover categories
Im between this card and the BoA Cash Rewards for the 3% online shopping
Did they change the rewards for ducks unlimited? Or am I still grandfathered to the old rewards benefits?
I'm between this card and the Savor One
500 dollar max category though 🙁
Can I use points to pay down card?
What if you spend $500 at Amazon per billing cycle? Would that earn the 5% cash back??
Do you choose the category each month? Or do they choose it for you ?
all for $25 a month
This card is great for gas and food store I spend a lot on gas so imma just use it for gas
I got this card exclusively for grocery shopping.
Sebby, or anyone, Have you found an alternative Amazon Allowances in order to keep cards active ? Thanks. Great video brother
You don't have the capital one savor that covers entertainment I believe it's at 4% if you have the annual fee version and 3% on the non annual fee version.
I spend $500 to $1000 on diesel every week at truck stops, would I still qualify for the 5% if I'm also using a app for a discount.
Anyone only applies for credit cards for the high credit limits? If so which cards are your highest limits?
I been looking for a card for gas. I spent about 200 bucks a month. I don't have one thing that i solely spend up to 500 on. Is this card only for someone who spends that much on a category or would it make sense for me?:
So I just completed a product change to this card and I believe the agent mentioned you cannot transfer to travel partners. Any truth to this? Not an issue for me, but I’m sure it could be for others.
Sebby, Can I have two Citi Custom cash cards ?
Thanks man!
Hotels
Chase is gonna be pissed when/if I get this card. 🤣🤣🤣
My gas/grocery/restaurant expenses generally don't go over $500 total, so this may be the perfect (almost) all-purpose card. I've been using their DC card for a few years to get 2% on things you rarely, if ever, can get more than 1% on, like taxes, medical, insurance, utilities, etc.
Sebby – do you ever shop at Walmart with this card?? Citi claims they don't code merchants in any way and, therefore, have no way of telling me whether or not Walmart would code as "grocery". I SERIOUSLY doubt they do, but I've got my fingers crossed. It's the only grocery-ish store at which I currently cannot get more than 3% back. Good thing PenFed considers WM a grocery store – problem is, their rewards program is not 1-1.
Final question – do you know of any way to get the increased $300 intro cashback. other than applying in person, in a Citi branch? The closest to me is about 400 miles away. Great review.
Whoa I was just going to go for the blue cash preferred for groceries but I think this might be a better deal for Groceries since there's no annual fees.
Any data points on size of credit limits for various Fico scores that Citi gives for this card??
If I’m accepted this will be my new restaurant card. $500 a month is just about what spend so it’ll work perfectly.
your videos are really helpful, it seems like every time i have a question your videos come up
If you max the Citi Custom Cash Card (CCCC) out at grocery stores every month, that's $25/month or $300/year in cash back. If you max the AmEx BCP out every year for grocery spending, that's $360 (6% of $6k). After the annual fee of $95, that comes to $265 net gain. The CCCC is the best grocery card on the market rn.
is the restaurant category excludes fast food?
Was shopping around for a good gas card that does not have revolving. Was going to get Amex Cash Preferred. But this will be way better.
I’m on hold for a Chase card due to 5/24, but I’ve started banking with them recently, so maybe I won’t have to wait the whole 11 months if I open in a branch. We’ll see.
Would sports tickets qualify under any category? I do some ticket resale so if season tickets would qualify in the live entertainment category so that could be big.
Can it be used to pay mortgage through plastics and still earn 5% cashback ?
Get the card and buy $500 worth of gift cards every month from either one of the categories or your local grocerydrug store to other places seems like the best use case imo. Especially if you are mainly in another eco system like chase or amex, and just claim the cash back as a direct deposit rather than statement credit
im wondering about stuff that doesnt fit in to any category like those random unexpected purchases like o crap my car got towed? idk im guessing since its not in those catagories it wouldnt work. so these catagories are kinda restrictive and i still worry i wont know how a purchase will be coded and more often than not ill end up getting 1% or some shit when i should have used my 2% back
btw abound credit union visa platnum is a hard card to get, its like applying for a home loan! lol and their interface is super clunky and disjointed, but it is the best damn gas card on the market! 5% back on gas year round and this automatically comes off ur statement at the end of the month, no annual fee, and very random rotating categories that are usually a month long and give 7% like restaurants and stuff
If you have a costco membership use the costco citi visa for 4% back on gas. Its a no fee card but you have to have a costco membership so you could argue its 60-120 depending on your membership. Though I would argue the membership more than pays for itself for many people
Perfect for gas, good for commuters most cards just offer 3%
Is there minumum for the redeem cash back? Like stupid wells fargo min 25$
Why doesn't anyone post what there credit limit is. And wht there score was, It shld be a big part of this review.
Wells Fargo active Cash is the way to go 2% back all purchases..
Il would just open this if I make a big purchase and get the $200 rewards back after $750 spent… Than close the account…. Lol
sadly they wont allow me PC from DC to CC
