Biloxi, Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana are only about 90 minutes apart and they contain some of the cooler casinos found outside of Las Vegas. In this Biloxi and New Orleans casino guide and tour we’ll show you what to expect when visiting these places and why you may want to go.
In addition to showing you the Biloxi area and its 8 casinos, we’ll take detailed tours of Beau Rivage (modeled after the Bellagio in Vegas) and the Hard Rock Biloxi which is our favorite casino in Biloxi. We’ll also take a tour of Harrah’s New Orleans and show how it is transitioning into Caesars plus why it is perhaps the most Vegas style casino in the region.
Stick around and learn some history, see some Vegas brands that are no more and learn about an alternate casino destination to Las Vegas!

Not a chance im going to New Orleans. Lived in LA, its a nope from me
Thanks you for sharing! Great info.
Good stuff guys!
Thumbs up for acting on the suggestion to change the format so that you guys are the same size. It shows that you listen to your viewers. Also, thanks for this bonus Biloxi and New Orleans podcast. Look forward to your regular podcast later this week.
Never been down there. I will say if you are looking for a better value and gambling is the number one reason you got to Casino towns… Laughlin ain't bad. There just isn't a ton of other stuff to do.
Biloxi is a nice get away for me. They put me on a chartered flight, free ride in a limo to the Beau Rivage and a free Suite for 3 nights. I can't complain at all. The Hard Rock next door is also a winner. I have hit some good handpays at both locations. You can check out the videos on my Video Poker Channel and see the room tours of the suite and the wins I've gotten out there. Not Las Vegas at all but like I said, it's a free trip for me.
Bonus show! Thanks gents!
Iām so glad you did Biloxi. My favorite 2nd to Vegas.
The Beau Rivage is about to undergo a renovation
Great report and good timing. Probably won't make it to Vegas this year because of family commitments. However, work might send me to NO for a conference later and will definitely check out Harrahs.
This was a boatload of information Iām gonna take everything to heart thanks guys
Beau Rivage cost and not getting the return early on was part of the reason Wynn was forced to sell to MGM…
Thanks for your Information about New Orleans and Biloxi casinos. Just let you know also that Biloxi has a shuttlebus that goes to many of the different casinos., There is another casino called the Scarlet pearl just across The little bay, Just North of Biloxi , a few minutes, very very very nice and and a Newer casino. Next time you go to Biloxi try the new Scarlet Pearl.
I went to Nola in 2014. But never went to any of the casinos. Only ventured bourbon street and French quarter. And Tulane!
Just a heads up, Biloxi is not Florida. If you're looking to get in the water, forget it. (Although some people do.) They did import white sand to the shores after Katrina and it is nice. I do enjoy staying at the Beau Rivage and had a few handpays there.
Love Beau Rivage. Stayed there. Biloxi is too humid in the summer for me. Karen
Visited NOLA twice, both on comp flights from Harrahs. Iām a Diamond Plus level.
Current offer is: 3 free nights, $200 resort credit, $500 slot play, $600 travel reimbursement.
Recent offer: 3 free nights, private VIP Mardi Gras balcony bash on Bourbon Street at Krazy Korner including food/beverages/beads.
Recent offer: 3 free nights, two complimentary tickets to the 2022 College Football Sugar Bowl game, including police escort transportation to and from Harrah's New Orleans & the Caesars Superdome
NOLA is fun. Beau Rivage…been there twice. Good times at both.
Found harrahs new orleans run down but its been awhile have they redone the rooms recently
…. LATER THIS WEEK, cmon guys! Interesting stuff … down south!šš½
I like this format for reviewing.
Great info on Biloxi / New Orleans casinos and I love your aerial shots.
I haven't been to Beau Rivage since pre-Covid (cheaper to fly Dallas – Vegas than Dallas – Biloxi), but I like everything about Beau Rivage. I have a standby offer on March 19th, so would be interesting to see if BR is still the best run casino besides maybe Wynn or Venetian (attention to detail: no pee at urinals, no bits of trash just laying around, everything is clean & orderly, dealers who know their stuff, free drinks with flavor). I've eaten at every restaurant inside that casino, except the steak house, and the southern cooking is fantastic at all of them. Even their coffee bar has sandwiches that are out of this world. Plus you can take a break and walk along the beach front or a great drive along the gulf coast.
New Orleans, well I agree about Harrah's, but NO has gone from Classy & sexy 20 or so years ago, to trashy & vulgar today.
If airfare were cheaper, I'd just fly to Biloxi instead of driving 3.5 hours to my local casino in Shreveport. Airfare to NO is reasonable, but car rental is thru the roof, even before the rate hike over the past couple of years.
