So your landlord won’t charge a credit card processing fee for paying rent with Bilt?

Who do they pull from?

cant find whether or not they report to all 3 bureaus or just two "Build credit history by reporting on-time rent payments to credit bureaus". this is revolutionary though.

I was looking for a new card for some major spend and It was going to be on my venture card but this could be a game changer. The AA and Hyatt transfer partners are huge. I have had the Hyatt card for 8 years just for the yearly credit. I never really used the Hyatt card because I didnt value only having Hyatt rewards. Now with this I could see using this. Along with AA being my airline of choice but hating the citi card I could see myself getting the AA card for Admiral club and the sign on bonus and getting this as well.

Ben,

Awesome video man. You got my Instagram when I sent it to you about this card. Appreciate the video and this card is a game changer for people who pay rent. Good card for no annual fee.

I love Bilt. It's almost there for a well rounded card.

How does the cc determine it is a "rent" payment ? Like to Mr Joe Landlord ?

Would have thought it would have some type of renters insurance perks.

I think, effectively, that paying with no interest is convenient for both sellers (landlords) and clients (tenants). Thank you even for the suggestions 🙂 🙏

Do we think it would work on other utilities that do not allow a credit card? For example, my electric doesn't give you the option to put a credit card number in, it has to be a routing & account number. This card provides those?

Nope not with Wells Fargo

Honestly this really could be a game changer. If Bilt adds Marriot and Delta, I'd actually cancel my Amex Gold. Or Amex would have to counter by offering to wave the fee for rent payments

Bilt rewards would be even more competitive with the transfer point programs if it had also had British Airways JetBlue and Accor Live Limitless as transfer partners but I also like this card

If you have an online rental portal, won’t we be able to just split the rent into 5 transactions?

Another older video was saying you had to spend 250.00 a month to get the points. Is that still the case? Or you just need to have 5 transaction a month regardless of the dollar amount.

how long did it take for your cards to arrive?

Reply
chaitanya pattewar April 2, 2022 - 10:14 am

I think most landlords would charge a 2.99% fee for any credit card. In most cases a debit card would have less fees. So the Discover Debit card is my go to, Always!
