Episode Description
The pandemic brought a number of casino closures with many big properties still shuttered since March, 2020. We learned this week when two long closed properties (Palms and Buffalo Bill’s) will make their triumphant return. When will they come back and what should we expect when they return.
In other #news we also learned that the Mirage volcano may be gone by this Summer, how to get two free show tickets with your MGM Resorts stay and where you can go to immerse yourself in the #BTS mania that is about to descend on Sin City.
This week also brought another crazy arena announcement. Where are they going to build the latest $3 billion potential NBA arena project? Formula 1 also confirmed its Las #Vegas Strip race course, a possible cannabis hotel is coming and you chime in on why you are dissatisfied with Las Vegas.

Which casino reopening are you most excited about?
Thank you for updates I am sad of Mirage Volcano going be gone. you guys do great Job. Hope to see you in June 19-24
I'll be in Vegas for the Palms 🌴 reopen
I think Vegas needed new big projects like the Hard Rock tower and Resorts World and Fountain Blue because so many states have legalized gambling now that Vegas needs reasons for people to keep coming to Vegas. The last thing we want is for Vegas to seem like old hat and stagnate. People love the Mirage including me but everbody has seen the Mirage several times and it is no longer enough of a reason for people to jump on a plane and come see.
We’re boycotting Las Vegas until all these stupid fees removed, they use give us free rooms and meals just to get us out there, now they charge us high price room, and parking😮 and resorts fees WTF, one question didn’t we paid for rooms already, where do we park if drive there, plus we gamble and they change the rules, all I’m saying local casinos is more fun better paid I’m in California so we have more food then vegas can think of cazillion buffet and no long lines to eat concert is all over California circus too
How much do you think the Cosmo will be selling its balcony rooms in the strip front tower for during the Grand Prix? That may be the highest price room charge EVER for Las Vegas!
Las Vegas has the T mobile arena so that arena is very NBA ready.
For a 2013 Mustang GT 350 you are looking at $60,000 on average right now.
The Palms- back when Stations remodeled it and before the pandemic I had a $50 free play but didn't use it. Will check out Mirage volcano show & the Secret Garden & Dolphin Habitat before it goes away. Don't knock Tournament of Kings! Good food and a fun show. Even my sister who initially said she wouldn't like it had a blast. Go before that too, is gone. Like Caesars' Magical Empire (THAT was amazing!). Concerns about the new arena at Blue Diamond & Las Vegas Blvd: traffic will be very bad but will be a benefit for the Silverton, SouthPoint and The M casino/hotels. I miss seeing empty space. Thanks for the vlogs and giggles guys!
Hi…surprised you didn't talk about the Stations lawsuit. Ya know, enquiring minds!!
One of the most discouraging aspects of being mostly a solo traveler, is that few restaurants will take a table reservation for one. I have been denied at countless establishments . The conciege at Aria made me a reservation at Xavier's for two and to tell them my husband couldn't make it. I could sit at the bars, but I have a hard time with the high chairs. See that Iron chef Michael? Is opening a bbque restaurant at Palms.
Glad to be staying at Mirage next month. It was one of my favorites. Trying out Crockfords for two nights to see if it is a good place.
My heart loves Palazzo..crazy to think they will be run by Apollo. They used to run Diamond Resorts. Now Hilton has bought Diamond and only time will tell if that is a good thing.
I agree with Mark. Ka Is boring. The wall is cool but the story is a snooz fest!
bts army inspiring fear everywhere
Love watching your videos. That been said I kinda hated when you guyy starter laughing at Ramon Ayala. He might not be known to white people but to Hispanics he is a huge American and Latin Grammy winner celebrity. Totally worth the money. Even Snoop Dogg likes him.
Unfortunately, casinos will not be doing anything good for the customers until enough people actually do decide to not make that trip to Vegas. Right now it seems that Vegas is getting all the traffic they can handle (what with staffing shortages, etc), so they have no incentive to offer a better value. If enough rooms start sitting empty on weekends, then maybe we'll eventually see a return to better offers, mailers, comps, etc.
Mark; your laugh just makes me laugh so hard! LOL!😆I am a BIG MJ fan and love the MJ One show! I have seen it three times and plan to see it often. Yes, there are a few things I would remove and replace, however I think it is an AWESOME show and tribute to Michael. CAB😊
When the NBA ALL STAR game was there a decade ago there was heavy weed use for one of the first times kinda in the open on the strip. We didn't go to the game but did go for some other stuff and you COULD NOT MOVE IN A CAR anywhere. We took the tram from the old Hilton and everything was packed. They had cool logo balls and I blew it NOT getting ones early. Just about had a heart attack when I saw one left high up on a shelf and practically jumped to get it late at night.
Where are you guys getting the dates for the F1 race? I haven't seen anything about definitive dates being announced yet. If you have the inside scoop I want to know so I can book my trip early before the prices get out of hand lol.
Oh yes mark we cant miss accordion! Lol.
DON’T Know a lot about cars, huh guys??? Maybe that’s a SHELBY?
Shawn, take the fam to tournament of kings.
I think Las Vegas makes copy-cat mistakes a lot! Firstly, we had magicians at every resort, then it was similar Circ shows everywhere, then the ‘de-theming disaster, then stadiums-sports teams on every corner? What is wrong with lots of different options? The lack of imagination and adding the high costs and the elites-only focus is stupid abandonment of the average visitors. We desperately need to see more ‘out-of-the-box thinking, we can’t just keep raising prices, and ignorant of the fact that there is more and more competition.
Artesian going from one item getting smoked to another.
By bts I thought you were talking about the bts sky train system in Bangkok.
SIN CITY , you can legally buy marijuana in Vici world , but you can't legally smoke it. Allowing marijuana in the hotels would seriously cut into alcohol sales . Vici himself won't allow that . Las Vegas really needs people like Steve Wynn on the strip. If it were up to me , I would tear down the Fountainbleau and put up the worlds largest " PIZZA WITH SPAGHETTI on it " restaurant. That will bring the tourist back.
I love this city
Formula 1 as a footnote? You can have an entire episode on this. Do you guys know how big it is?
To borrow a term Disney used when the Main Street Electrical Parade ended at Disneyland in 1996, the Mirage volcano is “glowing away”
