I love my Amex Hilton Aspire
So if I have three Hilton Aspire cards could I use all three free nights in a single stay?
🏨 Holder of the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant AMEX since December. 😽
Do Chase cards every really go away just because you can't apply for them anymore? It seems that if you want a discontinued Chase card all you have to do is jump through a few hoops and you can get it.
Thank you Saby, as a Canadian I'm making my first US credit card journey with the brilliant, my application is under process and I shall be having a final decision within a couple of days. Fingers crossed 🤞
🏨
Thank you Sebby for all the research and hard work in making these videos, it is very useful for intermediate and beginners players too.
Hilton Aspire is absolute the best value you can get out of any credit card currently offered by any bank, they literally pay you over $1,500+ for a $450 cc, fingers crossed the annual fee stays the same, I have gotten outsized value of my Marriott Brilliant, recently in Paris, used 50k certificates x3 for a €1450 per night for a suite (upgraded as Bonvoy Platinum), even then is easier to get more value out of Hilton Certificates.
I consider the Amex Platinum a hotel+ card, though you don’t get certificates, you do get amazing perks regardless of status, booking through LH+R, noon check in, 4:00PM check out, breakfast for 2, plus $100 restaurant/bar/spa credit.
I know Sebastian as talked about it in his videos, and how useful this perks are, I think it should have been mentioned on this list.
🏨 what's your number one must go in South East Asia for Hotels?
🏨 Great video as always. I did catch one small error. Your math was off on the Bonvoy Business. 2x would be 1.6% to 2.4%.
Hey Seb, i just scored a 1st class flight on ANA using 60,000 virgin atlantic miles, been watching your YouTube for over a year. I need a hotel recommendation for NRT for next year, and some excursions i should try, FYI I GOT THE BRILLIANT AND THE BUSINESS AFTER WATCHING your review of marriott all time high offer back in October 2021, thanks, i even xfer them to AA now i hv over 200,000 aa miles
LOVEEE this content! I need the help haha. This is the first year I'm considering a premium travel card, and I'm leaning towards the Bonvoy Brilliant, but you make a strong case for the Aspire. Maybe someday I'll have both!
I've had the Aspire ever since it launched and it's definitely the best card. When the pandemic hit, they allowed cardholders to use their resort credit on restaurants! Last year, they also gave $20/month for restaurants too (separate from the resort credit). I've definitely made the most out of it despite the high annual fee
🏨
Totally relate to the leaning toward hotels, then AirBNB, then hotels… Too many logistics with an AirBNB, cleaning fees, no points, risk on quality, and, as it turns out, no break on prices at all (it seems they used to be cheaper). Probably won't stay in an AirBNB again unless there is literally no reputable hotel chain available in the area.
🏨 ASPIRing to get to the high level
Great breakdown Sebby! Thanks for the info!
🏨
🏨
I’ve 4 free night certificates and looking to redeem at WA Los Cabos Pedregal but can’t find any availability. Don’t want to travel long flights and I was in Maui last month, any recommendations of properties to use the free nights certificates?
"Is that guy at the wrong hotel?!" So true so often!!! Great line!
I’ve been looking at the Hilton aspire, definitely might want to one day run the multiple aspire setup somehow 🏨
Thank you for your helpful video 👍.
Inspired by your other (outstanding) Hilton Amex card breakdowns, Sebby! I ran the Aspire -> Surpass -> Honors play starting last year just to start the clock ticking for Lifetime Diamond status.
I also tried the tip you suggested of refreshing on different devices within the 20-minute window starting at the top of the hour to increase the chance of getting an offer with a little bit more points. Spoiler: it worked.
Now that the Surpass AF is coming up this year, will probably wait until after the 13th month to see about asking for a Surpass -> Honors downgrade (without incurring a penalty).
Can’t thank you enough for helping us with strategies on picking up a few extra points 😁.
Right now i have the marriott bonvoy boundless and the hilton no annual fee. looking to upgrade the hilton to the surpass. i am happy with the marriot card i have now but always interested in moving to the brilliant. thanks for this!
Surpass pretty good. The lounge access is nice. That card IMO atleast covers your main expenses somehow in most vacations, flight and hotel. While not for the flight exactly, the lounge is a fun perk!
🏨so should I wait till my 5/24 is up or just go with the Hilton Aspire? I have the Surpass and I’m yet to use it as I plan to visit a Hilton Hotel in the Caribbean.
Should I upgrade my Surpass to Aspire or just get the Aspire and cancel my Surpass ?
🏨
Hi Sebby, you have talked about having multiple Hilton Aspire cards by upgrading the lower tier Hilton cards however my question is are you able to have multiple Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant Cards?
🏨
🏨 I have the Surpass card and love it. It is my gas card and I have no problem hitting the $15K for the free weekend night certificate. I have received Diamond status last year and this year due to Hilton lowering requirements so no need for the Aspire. I think the Bonvoy Brilliant is easier to use the credits than the Aspire (especially if you have the AMEX Platinum like I do) so I have no rush to the Aspire. Bonvoy treats my business travel like crap, so I don't stay at Marriott's. Instead I balance between Hilton and Hyatts.
Do you know when the Capital One Lounge in Denver will open?
Hey Sebby, great video!!! can you do a comparison of the best card based on insurance benefits when you book flights, cars.
Do you think the Aspire complements the CSR or do you think the Brilliant would be a better fit if your in the Chase UR ecosystem?
🏨 we have the aspire card and love it! Going on a 20 night cross country trip this summer. Thanks for the videos!
love the vid! what if the no AF Hilton gets supped up with lifetime diamond~~?
🏨🏨🏨 Sebby if I only fly domestic and leave in Indiana I have the freedom and limited car the sapphire prefer card the world of Hyatt card the green American Express and a platinum American Express which card will you get next?? That makes sense with other platform or independent as an airline, would you get a Southwest card for companion pass? And if you had to downgrade that Platinum to which one you downgrade I think that girl makes more sense for me but I want the welcome bonus…. Thank you, I watch so many of your videos!!
Redeemed a bunch of Hilton points at Conrad Maldives this month! 🎉
Great video! How many aspires do you and Mandy collectively have? Think it makes sense to still work toward multiples there or do you expect they’ll nuke the certificates at some point soon?
I got the Bonvoy Business with 75k points from 3K spent in 3 months. It also came with $150 in statement credits. That more than covered the $125 annual fee right from the start. I’ll be happy to use the free night later this year.
I also got the Hilton Business Card as well. 130k Hilton points with 3K spent in 3 months with the $95 annual fee. And I have 10 priority pass visits to use which will get used when I travel for business.
Both of these are good keeper cards for me. Perhaps some day I’ll try and get the higher annual fee cards but for now these work for me.
🏨
Love my Aspire! 🏨
🏨
🏨🏨🏨
Finding a good Hilton redemption is nearly impossible
We need an update to ranking all the Chase cards 1-24 like you did in 2020! Chase 5/24 ranking 🙂
The Surpass and Aspire cards is a pretty awesome combo with everything you get. I still wouldn't get it over CSP or AMEX Gold for transferrable currency.
