I'm 38. Just went to my 13th EDC. It's quite amazing. I can guarantee you would not be over it in a couple hours. There's so much to do. Characters walking around. Rides. TONS of installations. They spend over a million dollars per day on fireworks. There's 15 stages. You will run into music that will hook you, even if you think you wouldn't. You can 100 percent go sober and enjoy. Pro tip. Just find a wristband on Sunday. TONS of people can't handle the 3rd day.
Someone who spends like that obviously didn't work hard to earn that LOL
Just in case Volcano, Dolphins, Garden get removed these should be the suggestions.
Volcano be relocated to the Neon Museum
Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat be relocated to Siegfried & Roy's Mansion.
That place should be turned into a museum anyway.
The Lobby Aquarium should be definetly be saved.
If not It should be relocated to the Neon Museum.
The Villas should defintely be saved. Its a unique part of this property and
one that will help them market the new Hard Rock.
The Glass Atrium should definitely be saved. It could be use for some Hard Rock themed element.
The Tram between Mirage and Treasure Island should be saved too. It would be good
to attract visitor traffic from both Hard Rock and Treasure Island.
I'd rather stay at El Cortez than the Cromwell Mark. 😉😈
I really hate those videos about how Vegas steals your money. Nearly everything people complain about are things that you as the customer still have power over. Don't blame the casino for your lack of awareness or intelligence. The one exception is the rounding of tickets. That one annoys me. I usually just add it to a random machine and walk away.
90% of that entire TikTok thing is BS. None of that stuff about ceilings, carpet, 90 angles, etc. is remotely true.
Some casinos ARE confusing and disorienting, but we all react differently to them. I, for one, find MGM to be extremely confusing to the point where I cannot wait to get out. I also find myself responding negatively to Cosmo, but we're all different.
That said, Bellagio and Wynn/Encore spent millions on finding carpets and color schemes that most find cery appealing.
Going to see the volcano this week. Not going to Pizza Rock. Great show guys!
I think I've been to the day club twice, once at the Wynn and the other was at the Aria. Not a fan of it and most of the time, it's a sausage fest. Lol!
I always thought the carpets were designed to hide stains since so many people barf on them. Also, if you want an EDC like experience, you might want to check out Burning Man which skews older (and crazier.)
While "cashless" gaming may be coming, I can't imagine that they could do away with cash altogether, too many people, especially whales, will not want there to be a paper trail of their deposits and withdrawals. I agree that NGC should force casinos to fully pay out vouchers at the ATMs. Of course the casinos love it because I'm sure it's a pain and extra expense to keep the coin hoppers full and functional. Too bad. My only consolation is that I see a lot of scruffy characters gathering up those abandoned vouchers, so at least the casino doesn't get to "keep" that money. If somebody can find enough of those for a sandwich, I'm fine with that.
Like I keep saying only stupid people are going to this place anymore. I LOVED VEGAS BUT NO MORE!!! GREED AND CORPORATIONS ARE KILLING THIS PLACE.
Casinos are the biggest thieves in las Vegas, their greed will not last.
I was gonna comment on a couple of topics but I would've just blabbered on like I'm doing now 🤣
Oh, you forget to mention the Aerosmith "residency" being postponed due to an unfortunate situation with Mr Tyler but that's probably a TMZ kinda thing…
I will check out the Chase Sapphire card…thanks😊 I need to check out the new cirque show as well. Great information as usual you two👍🏽
If gaming gos cashless I will never gamble again!!! I WANT MY DAMN PRIVACY…
Looking for some advice sorry I’m kind of a noob I want to get to gold status with MGM is that sapphire card the best way to do it?
Speaking of confusing / lack of signage…Try to find the Monorail Station at MGM!😆 I have been to the Station many times, so I know where it is, but I'll always run into a couple of people wandering around looking for it. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I was told that the Monorail wouldn't pay MGM the crazy amount of money they wanted, so MGM won't put them on their signage in the Casino!
COUSHATTA, in Louisianna did away with change at machines and just printing another TITO for YEARS now, definitely before Covid and the "coin shortage." Their reasoning was that it cut back on man hours to refill machines and it opened up space internally to fit more bills so they don't run out and go "out-of-service" multiple times a day. Most people hand their TITO to someone still playing or there's a box right at the ticket machine to donate it to a local tribal charity.
I don't usually do credit cards with annual fees, but it seems like the Chase Sapphire one might be worth having for all those perks. I could always keep it a year and cancel it.
Thanks for the good info guys. You won't ever find me at one of the day pools in Vegas.
If it was hot chix only ever in the pool Id dive in head first.
Bars at Disneyworld Hotels are always 90 degrees off the lobbies so no direct line of sight.
biggest trick is hiding the ticket redemption kiosks far away from the exit so you are dragged back in and keep spending
tony uk
Mark….what did your shirt say? All I could see was *uck
BTW thanks for your guys tips! Got the Chase saphire last time you guys recommended it. I used my points to get a free round trip flight to Europe! Also called MGM Rewards and got my 125$ on board credit for Royal Caribbean cruise im taking! It definitely pays to watch your channel!
Mark: “ Yes, Shawn?”
Shawn: “ Yeaah. I’m gonna need you to come in on Sunday too.” ( cue Sip coffee)
Mark: 😐
– Office Space ( hilarious reference)
I would never jump into day club pool. Everybody is pissin in it for sure! We all are to lazy at times, get out with drink in hand , set down, go to restroom… for a pee .. ya right we’ll just pee in the poo… gross! And EDC overpriced! WOW!
EDC looks like my personal hell
I was on Carnival Breeze last week. Did the casino charge you to get money from your sail and sign account? They charged me 3% to get chips at the table. I guess I could have used cash but I wanted to use up my onboard credit. Overall, I didn't mind being "cashless" in the casino. I wouldn't be surprised if they start doing this in Vegas. Just wish they could get rid of the smoking on cruise ships.
Mavericks to EDC was over $800 roundtrip. They flew over Strip and Downtown instead of as crow flies
The 80,000 point offer is actually worth $1,000 if you use the pay-yourself-back feature. (80k * $.0125)
Regarding ATMs not dispensing coins when redeeming TITOs – every place I play… MGMs, Cosmo, Wynn… there's an option to donate the cents/balance to a charity. And, Ive read elsewhere, the casinos must report TITO variance, uncashed amounts, and they can't just keep it – 75% goes to the State. If you get a bunch of little "cents" tickets from cashing multiple TITOs at the ATM, reload all tickets into one slot and cash out again. I just donate mine to charity on the ATM.
No way the volcano gets saved by a petition. I'll miss it, it's iconic, even though it's been modified. It's not as good as when, originally, flaming liquid poured out of the crater and spread across the lagoon. My hope… maybe Wynn had a scale model from when Mirage was designed? Sitting still in some warehouse? If it exists, Hard Rock should fix it up and put it on display…or donate to Boneyard.
In this digital age, Hard Rick could at least acknowledge it with a permanent video screen … maybe in whatever connector gets built between guitar tower and existing structure.
I miss Aria buffet because of some unique features it had. Only Tandoor in a Strip resort. Had great seafood… a design your own poké station. But an upscale food court like Eataly, Block 16, Resorts World will be nice.. just don't put in some BS stuff like in Grand Canal Shoppes and try to convince us a lobster roll counter makes it fancy.
Biggest scam: 6-5 BJ!
You didn't mention Sarah Brightman doing a "residency" at Venetian in October. Her fans will fly from everywhere to see her. Don't write her off as just a soprano who was the original Christine in Phantom of the Opera, she is an amazing performer. I was hoping she'd add dates in November since that's when I'm coming. I've seen her in three different states (3 times in Florida) and I'd love to see her in Vegas.
LOVE VEGAS, stuff like EDC is no interest at all to me
I hope don't go cashless.
The one thing you can't recreate that IMO made Vegas better years ago…………………..THE CLIENTELE. Hugos Cellar inside 4 Queens has tableside service
Gold Gate was great when they had a deli and restaurant. Best shrimp cocktail and pancakes 👍
I’ve no idea what EDC is, but it’s safe to say that we’ve got the timeline beat on the “Decline and Fall of The Roman Empire.”
Carpets are hideous to hide food and drink stains…it's that simple.
No cash gambling will not be as exciting and they will loose business in the long run. I hope they do research on this.
If MGM Resorts is smart, they would rebrand Mandalay Bay as the Mirage, renovate the place and install the volcano show there.
