Does the 6 month rule apply to one card or to the Amex account in general. I increased the limit on my aspire a few weeks ago but also have a normal hilton amex and would like to increase the limit there as well. It‘s a true sockdrawer card and I never used it after getting the SUB. Do I have a shot at an increase with this card?
If my credit limit is say 6k but i only spend $500 per month does it really make sense to get an increase?
I was at $3K on my AMEX Skymiles Gold Card. I got this card in April this year IIRC, got a x3 CLI in June I think to $3K, request again just now for $10K and was approved for the classic x3. Now at a $9K limit for this card which I got only 5 months ago at $1k. Thanks Ben
I did it first time around and only time from $4500 CL to 3x and I was instantly approved. Considering doing another CL increase request with my other AMEX, but most likely a conservative 2x…
So if you have the charge cards which makes sense… no need for credit limit increases.
Question: If I have the Amex blue cash card and its at a $1,000 credit limit… but have the Amex green, gold, and platinum is it worth doing a credit limit increase? Next month should i bump it up by $500?
Great content as always. I walked upstairs to my computer and followed your steps. I was instantly approved from $2K to $6K. I even decided to upgrade my blue cash everyday to blue cash preferred.
On March 6th I got approved for the Amex blue cash preferred with only $1000 limit. I set two reminders on my phone. One for 60 days and the other for 6month. On the 61st day I applied for 3x and was approved for $3000. Yesterday I got the 6 month reminder which I had totally forgotten about. I applied for $9000 limit and was approved. I immediately set another 6 month reminder. I will try for 27,000 next lol. Fingers crossed.

Amex in the uk 🇬🇧 are always generous with credit limits. As long as you’re spending and paying off enough turnover on the accounts to justify the increase, they’ll usually approve the requests. You want to also have no negative info on your credit report obvs.

Thanks to Master, I was Increased from 5700 $ to 15,000 $. you can be added to your date point, I god the card in December, asked for too much first time before 6 months but it is already more than 3 months after being denied I chose not to push it all away up, and I got instantly approved

My limit was 13200, and I see this video. Then I request to increase my limit to 25000, AMEX instantly gives me an increase to 23200. So I just take that.

I’ve had my Amex blue cash preferred for 18 months. Started at 1k CL. After a year of having and using the card I requested an increase and was denied. Last month I tried again and also declined. Updated my income and nothing. So this trick doesn’t work for everyone. Plus no late payments on the card or irresponsible usage.

I have been an Amex member for 11 years. Just got a new card in August, so it has been 61 days at least and I applied for an increase less than 3x my limit…….and got denied. My usage is in the 3% range so don't know the issue.
