While the news is a bit mixed this week some cool new rumors surfaced with the news that Adele could be taking up residency at the Strip’s newest resort. Unfortunately the Trip Advisor reviews for said resort aren’t very good. Is Resorts World already struggling.
Plus with the mask mandate Vegas hotels are seeing big cancellation numbers, however it isn’t all bad news. The Las Vegas visitor stats for June were recently released and they showed a VERY strong recovery including an increase in gaming revenue over 2019.
Finally we talk about the removal of William Hill as Caesars Entertainment launches its new Caesars Sportsbook app, we reminisce about the oldest casino in Nevada turning 90 and I ask all of you for suggestions on how to celebrate a 21st birthday in Vegas the right way!

Nobody enjoy gaming games wearing a mask
Hey Mark. Here’s another way Caesar’s is cheaping out. I’m in Vegas right now and staying at Aria. My dad is staying at Bally’s because he loves the sports book set up there. I went over to say hi to him and used the restroom there. I swear they have the water on the faucets set to only give you like 2 seconds of water. It was every faucet! And it was right next to a bunch of signs that says that the CDC recommends washing your hands for 20 seconds. Impossible!!! They are getting so cheap!

it is true that things are slowing since the mask mandate, between this week/weekend, compared to the last month, as an Uber driver it has slowed dramatically, the surge is almost nonexistent this week and weekend
I checked rates for Caesars properties in November, and it's higher than I've ever seen it (on the weekends). I can still get comped rooms during the week, but weekends are ridiculous.
Son's birthday? Black Jack at the Golden Gate. Last of old Vegas feel. Give him a taste before it's gone.

Got back from Vegas a week ago. Although I had a good time….it was just different. First off, the strip is dirtier, they've cut way back on the morning "hose down/cleanup" crews. Street bums are more plentiful than ever. A lot of smaller shops I used to enjoy (in and out of the casinos) are closed. Resort fees are higher than ever (I paid $45 a night). Was not too impressed with Resorts World…I just expected more. On the bright side, OmegaMart was fun, Circa was cool, and I was able to maintain a healthy alcoholic intake. I think I might give Reno a look my next trip.
Take him out of Las Vegas. Anywhere. Maybe to a city that has a church.
Take him to Hanks Martini Bar at GVR happy hour , two for one , super nice Cocktail Bar Ladies , great drinks then Dinner in their steak House , Best Value Casino in Vegas and their Rooms are great 👍

I remember way back getting married in Vegas then we went to “ glitter gulch “most of the people there were elderly couples, never seen so many wheelchairs and oxygen tanks in a topless bar. First thing my wife says is where are all the strippers at?
Took my daughter last year for her 21st. I funded the gambling with the deal she keeps all winnings up to a major. If she hits a grand jackpot the dad tax is 50%. She hit for over $5k within 24 hours of being legal to gamble. Good times 🙂

Helocopter ride, and Tao for dinner a stop by the Venetian poll lounge bar at night, all the sports guys go there.

Something off the strip. Red Rock Canyon. I remember there being a company in town that rents out these really cool scooters that can be driven around the 13 mile loop.
Tell your son to watch all the YouTube videos about all the freebies you get in Vegas on your birthday or if it’s near your birthday. There’s lots of freeplay & free stuff.

Hofbrauhous the German Restaurant is where we took my daughter when she turned 21 and I. She loved it the food is good the atmosphere is fun it’s a real good time.

I canceled a trip for next weekend. Not comfortable with the masses coming in, especially from the south.
My wife and I had a wonderful time….no masks…..no limits…under 107 degrees….jackpots……oh the good old days…just two months ago.
I was there last week the mask isn’t a big deal.
Cancellations are not just the mask mandate. It is also all the other crazy stuff happening. I think this Delta variant is actually scaring people, the airline prices are sky high, there have been really bad behavior on planes, plane cancellations, restaurants are hard to get into, it is just not a great time in Las Vegas right now.
Vegas wont come back proper for a couple of years. We thought we were anal with the Covid rules in the UK but jeez you beat us hands down. This with your anti uk president stupidly stopping international travel for no reason not looking good😭.
Thank you for sharing all the helpful information on here. I live in the UK so without people such as yourself having these channels I wouldn’t get to find out half of this stuff. I’ve been coming to Vegas since 1988 so have seen a lot of changes in the city since then. I was last there in 2018 and was hoping to visit in 2020 but obviously with the pandemic that didn’t happen. Once we are allowed back into the US, I will certainly be returning. Keep up the good work 👍
OMG I am so happy the bro's moved out of vegas due to the mask rule, I indicated we cancelled our reservation for 20 suites at the MGM, they promptly gave us 40% off, I said no, then they gave each room a $250 room credit to keep the bookings! Sorry we don't want to bother with masks, maybe be back next year.

Not at all surprised by the the bad Resorts World reviews. It is not even close to a high end resort! Nothing but bad vibes!
