I'm never leaving amex. I don't care what they charge. These clickbait headlines that are literally the opposite of his last opinion are kinda fucked up.
Well guess that, I am just vintage old school. Found over time that, the best credit/charge cards for my needs are the ones with no annual fee, a grace period for late payments, and if there will be a balance for three to six months to offer a low interest rate. The American Express card that currently meets my needs is their business open card.
American Express 🤔 It's CRAP!
Great info. Seems like this is very accurate. I was just offered 100,000 points plus 150 credit to upgrade from my gold card to the platinum card. Typical send is between 3000-4000/m
Sorry for my ignorance, what is a retention offer?
Amex going Woke. Is another reason
100% agree
im seeing the exact same things with me. got pop up blocked from the Schwab Platinum but got the card anyway to cash out all my previous rewards points. unfortunately, Chase seems to be more on my level these days. by next year I'll be swapping to Chases Sapphire Cards instead. 🙏 thank you for the video!
Next $950 fee
Reason # 6: They promote white racism teaching woke bull$hit Critical Race Theory. Get Visa.
WAKE UP PEOPLE THIS MAN IS SAYING TRUTH .CHINA OWNS THESE MORANS.A EXPRESS IS A COMPROMISE CO LIKE ALOT OF COMPANY S
Is Amex inquiry sensitive? Trying to decide if I should apply with them first, or apply with some inquiry sensitive options like Bank of America or US bank first
yeah. you are a low spender.
This company is the "doctor evil" of credit card companies.
I am still undecided 🤷♀️ My landlord even takes Amex for rent; the minimum spend would be nothing to meet. However, I almost NEVER travel. I even got a month of vacation; l not against going anywhere. It is just my habit. I don’t know 🤷♀️
Solid review!
Does an AmexGold allow you to gain entry to the Centurion Lounge? I don't have the Platinum.
I have a sender for amex credit, USA version
Also if you do alot of business trips abroad then it makes sense to use amex.
Reason #1 so many people don’t accept it. You’re better off using discover unless you like the man said you spend a lot on high end things like traveling for like tickets and hotels.
I've noticed that AMEX doesn't give a lot of love to low spenders. Their no annual fee cards are pretty mediocre when it comes to racking up points.
Capital One is a total joke! I just keep it because I’ve had it like 18 years!
LOL "Second class" citizen. Oh well it's true. But that's why I love the AMEX because it sells exclusivity. Makes it worth my $650.
I am waiting until the late game to start the Amex journey. Thanks for the helpful tips.
Does this apply to the everyday and blue or whatever it is??
I applied and just recently received my gold Amex card. As I am recently building personal credit would this hinder me in some way in obtaining other credit cards?
They've been publicly promoting "equity" and anti-capitalist mentality within their staff and media recently. I need a competitive card based on performance…not "social justice" and politics. We value benefits and math. Feelings don't provide travel or hotel stays.
I disagree Amex is the best! Out beats anyone!
This video just gave me the clarity I needed on when to get the more Amex cards. I have the Hilton and Delta cards and I'm still learning how to get the most from those. Great video.
That Thanos scene! lol!
I have 3 amazing amex cards 😍😍
American Express Gold treats me well ! Very distinguish card !!
Customer service is superb!!
Definitely wish I would have started with Chase cards and then go with AMEX. I am now removing my wife as an AU to get her started the right way.
wow. what an awesome channel. It tough trying to figure out all these credit cards.
Could you possibly make a video reviewing the luxury card line up? Thanks
I’ve had all of the charge cards over the years, you have to stay flexible on what’s best for you and which card works at the time. Gold works best for me, long-term. They have really slashed services and advocacy over the years but they still stay above the rest.
I love Amex’s customer service. I see the fee as paying for a better customer experience and better fraud protection. You call Chase or citi and you get an Indian with a fake accent and you get screwed with the fraud charges. No thank you! I’d rather spend $100 annual fee and know if my card is stolen I’m protected.
Shred
Amex credit cards offer enough points and cashback so the annual fee get pay alone for free. Only people who use their card like 1-2 a month will feel that annual fee.
I know this sounds crazy, but I wish AmEx had a 5/24-like system instead of a 5-card rule. I would love to big able to cycle through all of their cards and downgrade them to no annual fee cards without closing accounts.
Agreed on the Resy comment….the Global Dining is pretty much useless if you aren’t in NYC. We travel to Fort Lauderdale regularly and there is literally NOTHING down there.
My AMEX blue has no annual fee
Started with the Delta Reserve but Delta's award flights are shite so I'm not going to run it anymore. Platinum & Gold I can transfer to BA. I travel to the UK a lot and have a Chase BA Visa which offers a companion ticket after $30k, which I do in the first month or two each year. Currently have over 600k miles stacked, two companion tickets and a voucher for a First Class trip to the UK. It's money I was spending previously by writing checks.
I don't do that type of spending and flying. My goal is to stay out of debt. I had it AMEX and cut it up. Didn't like the fees. Credit cards debt is a rip-off! "The borrower is servant to the credit. Do yourself a favor and stay out of debt!!
Several thousand a month, still in jail.
