Me non Ma 😉
You’re the best my guy, family guy, thoughtful. 😊
I bet your mom is happy!
Thank You.
I'm happy Ma saved $2000
Doesn’t the British gov shoot themselves in the foot by taxing award travel since it makes tourist turn away from going to England w their award travel
Did you actually close the account? Would you advise your subscribers to close the no annual fee credit account? I would have Chase rep transfer most of the available credit line from Freedom Flex to the new card, while keeping the no annual fee Freedom Flex card open by maintaining $500 available limit on Freedom Flex.
You haven’t factored in the opportunity cost. You could have earned 50k MR points if spent that money on the Platinum card and hit the minimum spend some other way.
For occasions such as this one, wouldn't it be almost better to just buy the ticket, and use the Avios points with something that doesn't charge you so much for taxes and fees. You'd still get move of your rewards, and you'd almost be at the $20k threshold for the bonus 25k points. Just a thought.
Is it just British Airways that is bad with fees and taxes, or are there other airlines to watch out for? (sorry, i'm not past the cashback stage, no opportunities yet to travel frequently)
who is Ma?
Your welcome. And thank you too.
Here is a little more context for you. If you are traveling alone or just as a couple, I would definitely not recommend booking this itinerary. Like I say in the video, fly to a country with lower taxes and fees and then get a cheap flight to the UK. The reason I find this good for me is 1. award availability is great on BA, you regularly see 3, 4, 5 seats available in business class. 2. The seat is one of the best on a transatlantic route 3. traveling with kids, I am just looking for the most convenient option 4. i still got 2 cents per point, which is my minimum acceptable value. But I know this will be controversial given the amount of out of pocket expense. Have a fight about it in the comments below.
Hard times all around the Crypto market especially with the collapse of BTC, yet I still have 100% income in my investment with a platform in town
Beatles + Credit Card Perks = True Happiness
Oh goodness — that disapproving, masked “look” at 10:50!
The only cards i need from chase is Amazon prime that all i need

I'm really happy for Ma
Hi Ben. I applied for the Iberia Card around March this year. Completed the spending requirement for the bonus, and yet Chase/Iberia never created an Iberia Plus account for me. Therefore, my bonus miles were never given to me. I have spent countless hours of my life trying to figure this out but Chase says to contact Iberia, and when Iberia doesn't say to contact Chase, they refer me to a portal to submit a claim and they either close the case without even ever contacting me, or ask me to submit another claim and other excuses. I am at a loss here and don't know what to do. This is over simplifying things but trust me, I have tried everything and both companies are absolutely useless and incompetent when it comes to figuring this out. What can I do? Do I really have to sue them to get my miles?
Virgin Atlantic had a crazy deal. ATL TO PARIS for 32,000 points, and AMEX had a 30% transfer bonus. Paris avoids all of LHR's heavy travel taxes.
I’m now up to card #34 and yes, Ben, you are correct. I’ve hit sort of a dead end in my credit card road map haha. Need to find random cards and random subs to chase now (no pun intended) 😂
The amount of value you can get from opening a new card, especially for a big trip you have coming up, is pretty insane. That's a big reason I love the points and miles game so much! Thanks for always sharing cards I'm not super familiar with. I'm glad someone shows some hands-on experience with em!
Ben great video. I really miss Norwegian air shuttle. Their premium product wasn’t lie flat but it was ok for me and flew direct to Gatwick. Right now, yeah I’d be looking to fly somewhere else and take a connection which is annoying. Might be worth a video to evaluate the other options.
The taxes alone is the reason I held off the UK 🙂
whats a good credit card if i fly to south east asia a lot?
What was your credit limit on the card
Ma is in good shape. Always take care of your Ma.
I thought the CCP had him killed
I’m out of the credit card game.
Instead of canceling the chase flex with 15k limit, why not call chase and tell them you want to lower your limit to 2k? I find the flex is pretty awesome to score 30k points a year based on 6k spend with bonus categories. All you need is 2k credit line, and then you get 13k credit line to use in other cards. Am I missing something?
3:52 telling you that you're wrong isn't necessarily a "hate" comment. Sometimes it's an opportunity to learn something.
Can't believe you can save Ma so much money 🤯
👍👍👍
What about… best year end card to open to “double dip”? 🤷🏻♂️
