I didn't about another hotel that's going to be built at the old Riviera location. I'm all for it, the more new hotels on the Strip the better.
They had a terrible mike's at Orleans.
The more the merrier. More rooms means less demand and lower prices (in theory).
I can guarantee that line for the buffet at South Point is always that long because of lack of other buffets 😅 I’ve waited in that line for like an hour and a half with the back being next to the restrooms 😂
OMG Terrible Mikes was awesome. We would stay at the Gold Coast and the day we checked in we would go straight to Mikes for their burgers. Had a great toppings bar. a single was so big you were lucky if you also bought fries that you could eat any. Now they have the Noodle exchange in it's place. 😔
The South Point breakfast buffet is terrific. Don't hit on the weekend, though, as it becomes "brunch" and the prices go up.
Saw that the Resorts World thief was caught. He robbed another casino years ago and was arrested for that as well
👂🏾👁🧠👁👂🏾👋🏾
Even if it's more expensive, Lawry's is still worth the price.
good to see this section of the strip being developed.
The South Pointe is cool 😎
Going to be in Vegas next week (20-26 Nov) have a few plans set in stone. Just wondering if there's a MUST hit event/place that's you'd recommend.
Enjoyed it!
Peppermill could use something to refresh that area we went in September during the day and while waiting for our Uber to leave it felt pretty sketchy out there and we've been quite a few times before and never felt uneasy being there until this last time.of course Cris Angel could hang out there and all the sketchiness would probably disappear to get away from him.
More competition is not a bad thing, hopefully Fan Duel gets the sports book at one of these new casinos.
Happy Friday!
I worked at MGM for six years and I don’t remember any security guards carrying guns. I think the Horseshoe had their cocktail waitresses carry guns, but the MGM, I don’t think so.
Hey Mark is that an SVSU polo?
I prefer to have my salad tossed in private.
13:52 We don't rent a car in LV and I always wanted to go to Southpoint as I bet sports and Jimmy Vaccaro is a legend plus you never know who you might see at the VSIN studio and Brent Mussberger shows up from time to time. That being said I heard the SP sports book no longer comps drinks. If true I have no idea why, it's an Ok book viewing wise ( certainly NOT on par with Westgate or Circa ) so expecting me to go ( pay for an Uber) and make bets and pay for drinks………..I think I'll pass
I've never been to South Point. I have to check it out!
We have a Timeshare at the Grandview which is next door to the South Point. We love going there when we're in town.
I wish people who are reviewing Las Vegas hotels/casino would give a "smokiness" rating. I took a Vegas vacation and stayed at the Park MGM and I regret it now. So expensive and the food offerings were a disappointment (except for Bavette's and Toscana). I only chose the Park specifically because it is a non smoking property (for heath reasons this is important to me). I originally chose the South Point and talked myself out of it. If someone would tell me that a hotel/casino was only a little on the smokey side, or only certain sections of the casino were heavy with smoke, then I might stay there anyway.
Never been a fan of Peppermill. South Point, IMO, harkens back to how Vegas ought to be.
Hey guys , I live in Houston my entire (60 yrs) life and have been in the furniture business myself for 40 years Jim Macinvale does about 120 million a year in his 3 stores . The money he won offsets his 2x and 1x money back on mattress purchases . Basically is a way to buy insurance to offset his promotions . The money in the wheelbarrow was a marketing angle because he is a master marketer . He refunded his customers this way . He had to pay cash to place the bets so he got paid the same way .
They caught the RW thief I think. He was a poker player and rideshare driver. He had been in jail for a prior offense….unless I dreamed all that.
I would love to hear about Las Vegas Surf Lake and the fountainbleu after gazing upon it's derelict form for many years.
I once witnessed a drunk individual jump the fence at Harmon and get promptly hit by a car and rolled along by the skirt of the car for a 100 feet.
I like the Red Lobster.
“Just toss my salad” 🫣
Have any financials been released that back up the person on the right side of the screens comment that Resort’s World is “struggling?”
Awful awful .. little nudget dwtn Reno. Was the best cheap eats ever..
Mark needs to stop being negative on everything it's getting really annoying.
Peppermill on South End of Strip.
Used to be you couldn’t get a buffet at Orleans on Tuesday because they had cheap seniors buffet and movie day.
My wife and I loved the mad onion, especially the jalapeno cornbread muffins. Do you remember those?
I listen to most of the Vegas reviews and in my opinion you guys do the best job. No smoke I don't say that to all the YouTubers. Lol
South point has a big Friday happy hour and there late night cafe specials are good. I haven’t been there in a while but the Mexican restaurant was good.
Yes, I was just at peppermill last week and can confirm that the parking is now limited because of that new land being sold. And yes, they are selling the weed edible ears in the Henderson dispensary on Gibson already. And yes, Peppermill is the best restaurant. 😂😂🫶🏻🫶🏻
Love the South Point Casino hotel ,stayed there last year and staying there next month. Always have done well gambling there. I like the statue there of
Benny Binnion on his horse
They should build a small high end Riviera hotel on that 10 acres, that would be different. With lots of memorabilia from back in the day. Like Debbie Reynolds hotel was from what I remember.
When Shawn says, "Come here, toss my salad"🤣🤔
So long as they don't mess with the Peppermill !!!
Can you refresh my memory and tell me in what year did they start building fountain bleu? I think it had a different name when they started the build. I remember the original construction, just not the year. Southpoint is fun casino..They probably have the most old school games.
I agree the table side stuff isn’t my thing😂
Before the shutdown went to a show at south point with 50s and 60s acts it was great
South point also has $5 roulette too. I’ve been stopping there once each trip to Vegas now.
I work at South Point as a kitchen engineer, so I fix the equipment the chefs use to cook everything in all the restaurants. I can assure you that the kitchens are very clean in general. Oh and that's the largest equestrian arena in the country. The hot dogs are 1.50.
I agree. Get rid of table side salads and put those employees on tables.
You said "joint" product….🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Should have gone to Jet’s pizza
