Many people are asking, “when is it safe to travel again?” It’s a good question, and one that will likely depend on certain indicators. In this video, I share my thoughts on what needs to happen before we can start traveling again, and how travel may be different after the pandemic.

this is all very funny … I am stuck in Thailand at the moment, had already a 30 days VISA extension, this is valid until Mai 1st now, but it does not look like they open the airports so soon again. I can get another 30 days, which will make in all 90 days, and after that?
I have to travel for work. I got accepted in a school in Myanmar and I need to travel to Bangkok to obtain a Visa. I booked my flight on April 23rd but it got canceled.
Hey, Ernest! I was wondering if you were planning to ever post those National Park videos from your honeymoon road trip? Great video!
I think what airlines otta do is only have a fewer people board a flight sitting 6 feet away from one another so it wouldn’t be any problem if it’s a idea or some sort
Keeping my fingers crossed, but I doubt international travel will resume this year. We actually have a medeterenean cruise by October and hoping it goes through but again it's not looking good.
Travel is my addiction, postponed my July 2020 trip to Kenya for July 2021, sad about this but I'm not traveling again until there's vaccine, I'm way too scared of this bug. Safe travels sir and thanks for this vid
July Trip to Kenya and Zanzibar postponed, have a trip at the end of August to Peru that I’m still waiting to see if I should cancel or not and another one to Mexico middle of October. This virus f€¥in sucks 😷🦠
What about the people already stuck in another country 😡😠😡
At least let us go home !
We don't wanna travel but can we just go home !
Daughter, husband and I have a US trip (from Australia) booked for December-January. Booked well before the current situation. We’ve decided to wait and see. I feel for all those whose travel plans have been affected. I’m going to stay hopeful for us seasoned travellers.
This video was very informative. You covered every area that needs to be taken care of before we can even plan traveling. I will share this video with my friends on Facebook. But it saddens me that many people aren’t thinking realistically about this.
I haven’t booked a flight yet, but I had my vacation approved 8 months prior 😔 I’m supposed to meet my girlfriend in Hong Kong, towards the end of September 2020, spend a week there and on to visit her family in the Philippines.. but it seems this Covid-19 will linger much longer, but at least maybe I can just meet her in Hong Kong, since they have better control of the situation.. stay there and come back home and get quarantined for 14 days lol..
I'm an outlier. I'm not worried at all. I'm ready to get back to international travel as soon as the airlines open back up.
Won't be for awhile years maybe there won't be any airlines left
so when?
Wearing masks is definitely recommended
I live in Sweden and will go to USA to study in August. Do you think that is possible?
Once in a life time crisis 🧐 Yeah Right tell that to China. This is the new way of life now, get used to it 😷
As soon as things open and I am allowed to get on a plane and my countries of interest have opened their borders, I’m off to my next destination. Travel is very important to the kind of work and research I’m involved in.
Very informative. I do see that there is going to be more people that are willing to travel domestically before international travel even if there's going to be flareups. I hope people will want to do nature inspired trips like national parks or visit small towns before flocking to big cities which got hit the hardest by this pandemic.
I would not be travelling for 2 years or so. But thereafter, if everything is fine, that I may, provided there are no quarantines.
Cautiously optimistic outlook: Limited road tripping summer 2020, this ends in the fall with a second wave of the virus. By spring 2021, treatments open up domestic road, rail, and air travel, but it's still limited. This grows through to the end of 2021, when a vaccine becomes available. By mid-2022 life is mostly back to normal and international travel becomes possible.
I was planning on visiting the Christmas markets in Austria, Hungary, Germany, and France in December. Do you think I should cancel my trip?
I traveled alone with my 16 month and 3 years old kids to ethiopia back in January for 3 month trip which was safe for travel and then I extended our return flight for another 2 month because of this virus and now the more our departure day closer, still not sure to travel with my kids back to US . I'm so scared since my children are too small and cant wear mask for 23 hrs flights. I can't sleep at night fear of my two children will couching the virus on our way to US . 🙏
Prices will be down first, and later will double or triple. Remember my words..
Do you think people will be able to go to University in USA in fall 2020, if you are not from USA?
the coronavirus is just the flu, i will travel as soon as borders open
Will virus be gone by November 2020
Hi there. So I live in Spain, and I'm really concerned about when international ferry travelling trough the mediterranean will be available, because I se a lot of companys planning travels in late june.
I was planning to travel to Brussels on August but I think it will have to be postponed and I really hate the uncertainty 2020 is the worst year I have ever seen smh
I live in a country where the virus is currently well under control, but borders are still closed and I was planning on visiting my old sick father living on the other side of the globe already well before this virus emerged. It's been well over a year since I last saw him and I miss him very much and he's currently all alone and I don't know how much time he has left… The country he lives in has very few cases but they're still not letting in foreigners so I was just hoping to get some information on whether planning a trip there even at the end of the year in November would be possible, but I can't find any information on that. This crisis is so frustrating.
My girlfriend lives in another country and all i want to do is visit, Im going crazyyy😭😭
My partner is in America and I am in Australia it’s so frustrating!
People can do what they want as soon as they wake to the lies and stop complying to opinions and guidelines by Big Pharma.
Thanks for knowing nothing about when we can travel again…maybe you just like the sound of your own voice
Thank you for your observations. I live in Poland and make yearly trips to the States to visit family and friends. I made my last trip in Nov-Dec 2019. I was hoping to move my trip up, to avoid the possible fall/winter expected surge of the virus. But now I do not know if it is reasonable to even plan a trip this year.
I've been planning to go to visit my cousins and aunts for a year. Then OFC my plans are ruined by corona. It's really hard to wait since I haven't seen them in 3 years, as soon as planes open up I'm going.
I dont even wanna travel everywhere. I just wanna go back home!
Back in February, I booked my airline ticket for March and COVID-19 forced me to cancel my ticket literally two days before departure. I was really looking forward to Florida 😤
I would not travel until all the "dos and don'ts" related to the pandemic are gone.
I can't wait to travel I will travel abroad next year and do domestic trips in 1 or 2 months from now I might go abroad later this year but only if there's no quarantine
good break down of essential factors
I hope after this nightmare you can visit Cusco Peru because tour guides in Cusco are self-employed, This pandemic kill our job more than pandemic assassinate people, thanks to Pachamama the Covid 19 is week at the altitud located at 11,152 feet (3,399 meters) because of the lack of oxygen and dry weather plus the sun exposition means Covid 19 needs to drink Our Coca Tea to no suffer altitude sickness, I guess by this time I am glad to be an INCA , as I say we don't have Covid¨19 but bordes are close and coast and rainforest suffering with the pandemic but the tour guides we fuck … I wait for you in 2021 in my home the INCA LAND free of any nasty disease… or when the bright people give the world the precious vaccine…
Man, this virus ruined everything. Hopefully, next summer after I graduate college I can travel to Europe or Japan (which I have a feeling will be unlikely).
I'm currently in The Bahamas, one of the few countries open to Americans, and I tell you things are very different. A negative COVID19 test is required for entry, almost all restaurants, shops, casinos, tours, and expeditions are closed, there's a 10 pm curfew, and there are very few tourists on the island. But there is an upside to it all. It's much more quiet and serene. There are very few people on the beaches. You get to really enjoy all the sites. And it's safe, because they've done a great job handling the pandemic. Trust me, if you're not wearing a mask, the locals will yell at you from their cars, so keep it on!
We will be lucky if normal will be early in 2021
Covid 19 is a scam.
Lol looking back at this a year on and seeing borders still shut down and where we are now with basically starting all over again because of variants is frustrating and pisses me off.
