I use the chase point for Hyatt anyway, so it shouldn't impact much for me

Frustrating change made with no notice. I feel like I’m getting pretty minimal value now from the CSR, and likely will explore leaving chase entirely.

✈️ It seems like there’s a lot more reductions in benefits compared to additional benefits, but I think things are going to get worse with this economy. Thanks for this information.

I kept the CSR for the PYB on Airbnb. This really hits me personally hard and will definitely be canceling it on my renew date if no retention offer is gave.

🛩Hey Sebby, can you confirm? I heard if you get hit with multiple hard pulls for the same “thing” (credit card applications) within a short period of time, it only counts as one inquiry on your credit report. True?

✈️ Never used PYB but still don’t like seeing a card benefit degraded. I use CSP as a conduit for CFF points transferred to travel partners and the travel insurance benefits. Otherwise, doesn’t get a lot of use.

✈️ this temporary benefit ran its course to add value during the pandemic. This is a reminder that the Lyft benefits are also temporary. Now Chase needs to take it seriously and revamp their cards. An actual supermarket category is a start.

✈I used the Pay Yourself Back – Restaurant so much! I am sad about this. I have so much points and the easiest way/max value was for the restaurant usages. It was essentially 33% off your restaurant bill with PYB. I travel to China for business often and, from my research, there are no great transfer partners strategy for UR and MR points. Anyone with suggestions?

PYB was introduced at the start of the shut downs. I saw it as a way to still make use of my CSP points since we had cancelled our travel plans.

✈️ I've had the CSR for years, but their changes to the LHR (benefits) acne reduced value of Priority Pass have me lean on my Amex Platinum more when I'm going to travel… u may downgrade to CSP.

I’m not a fan of the new travel portal. It seems that they have fewer hotel options now. On a good note we got 3 nights at a Hyatt in December that was listed at over $500 a night for 9000 points a night.

✈️ Recently got Citi Premier but also have Sapphire Preferred & AMEX Gold. Don’t travel much. Not sure if it’s worth having all these plus 17 more cards with verity of cash back but mostly no annual fee.

I got CSR about 3 months back when they had the elevated SUB offer. Thanks to the increased point value, SUB and $300 credit, my fiancée and I only paid $440 out of pocket instead of $2000 for our tickets to Japan. Huge win for me. I think so long as they don't touch any of the travel perks, I could see myself sticking around. I used PYB occasionally though so it hurts still. If they start gutting anything else, I'll most likely downgrade to CSP. ✈

I completely agree with the over use of Pay Yourself Back. I had almost 1 million points racked up over years that I never dipped into. Then opened a business and got an insane double tiered in branch intro bonus the Business unlimited. The whole build out and expenses were spent on chase cards. I lost track of my math months ago, but have gotten around 10-12k of bonus benefit out of that feature. Probably gained a few pounds from ordering more, knowing I was getting 4.5 points and saving 1/3 using points to cover it.
