Index funds provide a simple way to invest and there are many different index funds to choose from. From Vanguard Index Funds, other #Fidelity #IndexFunds and others. But Fidelity zero cost index funds offer no fees to invest your money. Which is something we don’t see from other brokers. But while these Fidelity Investment accounts charge no fees, do they perform well enough to be part of your investment portfolio?

Vanguard the gold standard? Psshhh my yolo meme stock call option portfolio is the gold standard
Great for the super cheap investors, F.I.R.E 🔥movement, and late in life investor.
love fidelity
Really thorough breakdown Dustin! I loved the side by side analysis! 🙂
Great video and love the channel, but maybe 2 additions. I own all these Fidelity index funds and bench marked them against Vanguard before I switched over. The difference between the extended market (small vs. mid-cap) funds FZIPX and VEXAX is caused by the composition and equity style map (growth vs. blend).
1) VEXAX owned Tesla when it was still Mid-Cap before it jumped to the S&P 500 in 2020, FZIPX did not. That's probably a good reason for the 13% difference.
2) The Equity Style for VEXAX is Medium Blend, while FZIPX is currently Small Blend.
BTW… since I left the comment. I'd love to know your training split and how you plan your macros. I lift too and I'm always looking for ideas from real people not Instagram celebs. Thanks!
I hope Vanguard is paying you well for all these commerialz! lol
I have some money in FZROX, FNILX, and FZILX, and once I get to one year after my last buy in I'm gonna sell them all and switch to vanguard etfs. Days like today make me realize how much I miss the liquidity of an etf vs mutual fund.
A projection of the compounding totals would have been amazing
Really good video. I was wondering about this. It's hard to find if they were going to pay dividends until I found out last year when I received my one dividend payment. I can't believe Vanguard still outperforms them. Crazy!
I prefer the quarterly dividend… hmmm, come on Fidelity
Amazing video and I'm sure there was a lot of work put in. I use Fidelity and have been thinking about these funds. I would have to do a comparison of these funds to the fee equivalent. Take care Dustin and happy investing.
I'm invested in these zero expense funds. I don't think you can compare them to anything since they aren't index based on other indices. I.e. Fzrox isn't comparable to fskax. Fskax and vtsax are comparable though.
Fidelity zero is the best anything else is waste of money
Awesome information, thank you very much..
While FZROX does only pay dividends annually, the conclusion below is largely incorrect. FZROX actually reinvests those dividends internally to the fund throughout the year, and the growth is reflected in the share price
I have a fidelity roth ira. Would your recommend FZROX or FSKAX?
Great video. Exactly what I was looking to find out. Think I will go with vanguard.
