💳 Sebby's Card Picks: https://www.asksebby.com/credit-cards
💳
Agree that Gold could use an adjustment on credits. Uber works for me, but the other is hard to get full value.
For me:
– Freedom Unlimited
– Alaska Plus
– AA Exec Elite
– Delta Reserve
– Amex Business Platinum (sole prop)
– Amex Business Platinum (LLC)
But once I get the intro bonus on the Alaska card I'm gonna cancel it. Delta reserve I'm not renewing either. Sole prop platinum is getting dropped next year too. Then I'll probably get the personal sapphire reserve once I get under 524 next spring. Also I haven't gotten that intro bonus yet.
💳 Would love the hear the hotel credit card version of this setup!
I’m Just sitting here at the Disney resort in Hawaii watching Sebby videos on a free vacation thanks to Sebby’s videos
💳 We're actually trying to figure out our 5th card as we speak!
For now:
1. Amex Gold
2. Chase Sapphire Preferred
3. Chase Freedom Unlimited
4. Amex Platinum
5. Bilt Rewards
The top 5 will change depending on if we're in North America or not (Amex is decidedly less useful outside of North America, except for lounge access) but we are looking for ways to get status with Delta + Hyatt. Still figuring it out, but great video thank you!
My five are three
1. Gold Card, dining and grocery, airline travel
2,3,4. World of Hyatt card, gas catchall and travel
5. Ritz Carlton card, reimbursed work expenses, United check bags and United lounge access
💳 I have a Amex Platinum, 2 US Bank Visa credit cards, US Bank Debit, and a Citi Travel card. I travel frequently so the Amex is wonderful although the new Employee rule will now boot me out of the Sky Club which I'm very upset about. 😫😭✈
💳 Current setup:
*Primary: Citi Premier
Specialist: CFF
Everything else / Travel: Venture X
**Travel: CSP
Perks: Amex Platinum
*Will downgrade to CDC or CCC after 1 year
**will downgrade to CFU then apply for CSR as it's been 48 months since I got the CSP
Future Setup:
Primary: AMEX Gold (could downgrade Platinum or apply)
Specialist: CFF
Everything else: CFU
Travel/Perks: CSR & Venture X
6th Man: Amex Platinum (maybe)
Anybody got a link to the mic stand Sebastian uses?
💳 I've been all in with AMEX for a few years now – Platinum, Gold, Hilton Aspire, & Every Day Preferred. Doubled that up with CSP, Freedom, and Ink Preferred. Have used UR points to go to Iceland and have a huge MR balance to subsidize travel. Since we are close to DFW I keep the Citi and Barclay's AAdvantage cards. Going to drop Barclay's since the Citi AA card has better multipliers if you're trying to earn or maintain status with AA. I may drop the Platinum and replace it with the Venture X.
Thank you!
My setup is geared towards more aspirational travel 💳
Primary: Amex Gold
Specialist: CSP
Everything Else: Venture X (I kinda blend this with the "Specialist")
Travel Card: Amex Platinum
Travel Perks: Amex Bonvoy Brilliant
How did I not notice until now that the Blue Business cash is the BBC?
My current wallet is the
Gold (4x Food)
Platinum (5x Travel)
Double Cash (2% Everything Else)
Costco (4% gas)
Does it make sense for me to swap out my double cash for the BBP, I'll be able to pool my everything else 2% into 2x amex points with the other amex cards.
Basically a small convenience/complete the trifecta, at the cost of causing some movement in my credit report. Worth it?
My Base 5 Personal Cards
1. CSP
2. CFF
3. Citi Premier
4. CO Venture X
5. Citi Custom Cash
💳 My fab five:
1. Capital One Venture X (the GOAT 🐐)
2. Amex Gold (the defensive muscle 💪)
3. Amex Platinum (the flashy all-star 💃)
4. BILT Mastercard (the benchwarmer 🪑)
5. United Explorer (the pragmatic one 🫡)

Gotta say I was really surprised when I found out Venture X has a bit more lounge access than the Sapphire Reserve. But less non-lounge benefits. It's a great card! 💳
CSR, CFF, CIC, CIU and CCC. 3 personal and 2 business is good. 1.5 from chase unlimited is better than 2x from double cash if you have sapphire reserve.
You can use the Citi Custom Cash to book travel thru BILT Rewards, and get your 5% from Citi and also 1X from BILT for 6X diversified points!
Then you can get another 1.25X multiplier when you book with your BILT Rewards points.
And of course use Citi Premier to transfer Custom Cash ThankYou points for 2X – 3X more.
Do the math! 😄😄😄😄😄
1,2,3 = Chase Trifecta (CSP)
4. Amex Platinum (Travel Perks)
5. Costco (Gas/Costco Purchases)
💳
Grrrrrreat 🐅Video Sebby!
What’s the best card or setup for someone like me that flies ANA/Korean Air (mostly ANA) once a year or every 2 years? I’m so confused with transferring points to an airline partner then using that to book ANA for example.
💳
💳
I have a CSP and my wife has a Freedom Flex. I'm tempted to go get the Venture X but I want to stay within the 5/24 and get all the Chase cards I can before expanding. We are at the point where we are open for another card, any suggestions what our next move should be?
💳 great video Sebby, taking the Gold Delta into consideration
Bro sleeping on Chase Freedom Unlimited
This quarter is Groceries (Excluding Walmart) because the other selections are Target or Fitness Clubs & Gym Memberships.
Should I get CSP or gold card? About to graduate college. Appreciate it! Also does gold also offer rental insurance? And is there a difference between car rental insurance between chase freedom flex and CSP? (Difference in primary and secondary insurance?)
You move again? Lol. Had to say it. Like new lay out.
A little disappointed Amex Blue cash preferred and Discover it cash back cards didn’t make your list! I have discover it and chase freedom and I usually lean towards discover over chase. So much more convenient and straightforward with the cash back
1. AAA Visa Signature (5% Grocery)
2. Penfed Legacy Cashback (5% gas)
3. Us Bank Cash+ (2x account for cable /utilities)
4. Citi Custom Cash (or SAVOR grandfathered 4%)
5. Sofi Mastercard (2% everything else)
BBP boys
Capital One Venture X – phone coverage already paid for a stolen phone, hertz presidents circle to boot global entry for myself credit, Costco Citi Anywhere Visa – All Costco purchase pays for the membership plus fees, Citi Advantage Milesup 2x AA loyalty points for groceries and no annual fee, Barclays Aviator Silver – 3x aa loyalty points for AA, free check bag, usually only make it to plat pro, so 25 $ a day food and beverage credit on the plane, companion pass, usually make it to the 5k loyalty bonus, global entry for my partner.
