💳 Sebby's Card Picks: https://www.asksebby.com/credit-cards
💳
💳 I am the OCD credit aficionado in my circle of friends. Only a couple are able to have a meaningful conversation about credit with me. I’m far from an expert, but I’m an enthusiastic learner. I engage my younger friends about their credit, and share my personal credit journey, because it’s been a positive one. I don’t engage the haters. Enough negativity in this world. Doesn’t need to be fed.
Great video! I enjoy learning about stats and applied data. A+.
Hahaha, suck it, poors!
Thank you for keeping us all appraised of insightful financial news Sebby!! 💳
Your explanations make it all very digestible, and I appreciate all the effort you put into making these videos
My husband has an 832 credit score, has never had a late payment, has not opened a new card in 3-4 years. Just applied for Chase sapphire preferred and was turned down? Income is over $90k per year
💳 thanks for providing great information and content. Hopefully my partner will take my advice and watch some of your videos.
💳 this was a great analysis. Thanks seb. Any idea if the ritz carlton card is still available via PC, and if so is it still metal? (Because that would be a deal breaker if its plastic 🤣)
💳 Question, if I downgrade my Venture card to the VentureOne to avoid the $95 annual fee, will it show up on my credit report as an account closed and new account opened or show continuation of the original account? Don’t want to get dinged on account age for downgrading. Thanks in advance!
💳 – Sebby, I've been watching for years. I really value the insight and education. These videos have expanded my financial knowledge, but also allowed me to help expand the knowledge of others. Thank you.
💳 Yes, I know people that make some very good money and have no idea on how credit cards work, much less use them to their advantage. I try to educate them to some extent, but I don't feel that confident in my own knowledge. Not sure I know true cc haters as much as the people I do talk to blow me off and are just lazy and refuse to do simple research.
Not me.
💳 under 20 just got 2 cards 717 fico need to get dat sapphire card
💳 mostly just avoid the convo. Most people my generation tend to look at you like you’re crazy or going to get yourself into debt
Hey Sebby, lately you havent been talking about the BOFA credit cards. I want to take one just for the 200$ bonus intro offer. is there something I should know about bofa?
💳
1) My family is incredibly credit card illiterate, they literally sign up for credit card offers they receive in the mail – we're talking 28.99 – 34.99% APR.
2) I LOVE the credit card conversation. When other people share their experiences or tips around rewards or special use cases, I take notes.
3) In my experience, the "hate" comes from being ill-informed. I take every opportunity to educate people. I always tell my friends to ask me questions about how credit cards work, how to increase their scores, or which credit card would suit them best, based off their normal spending habits.
If you are financially sophisticated, share your knowledge with your loved ones!!!
💳 Glad I found your channel! Thanks, great info too. 😄
This is super interesting to me since i am in sub prime with a low income currently because of issues that happened during covid. Currently working my way back up and have a few accounts to pay off that were in collections but my current credit cards are in good standing when I got back to work
I play the CC game. Where to get info on aspirational travel strategies ?
💳 Nice Job🎉👍… Most of my friends are clueless when it comes to what credit cards can do for them. Some of my work friends are interested in reward cards. I believe this is probably because they travel more and expense more like I do and would like to reap the benefits from those type of cards. My close friends seem to be uncomfortable just mentioning the subject… Keep up the good work you do!!!
💳 1) Most people I know are not financially sophisticated, and many carelessly use credit cards at the 1x/1% baseline rewards category for all spend, if they use credit cards at all. 2) I talk about credit cards from time to time, but for many it turns awkward as they think I'm an idiot (paying interest/racking up debt), greedy, or wasting my time chasing "coupons". 3) Anyone who is a credit card hater I simply write them off from financial discussions. Still friends, but that's largely a waste of energy and time.
💳 love the way you explained this in great detail.
I've a few credit cards myself but I'm being financially responsible and only use then if I can afford to pay from my bank already.
Ive earned thousands in cash back while paying zero in interest because I pay in full every month. The credit card companies have a term for customers like me. "DEADBEAT".
Hey Seb, can I get a second Chase Sapphire Preferred and downgrade my first one to a Chase freedom? I got my chase SP over 48 months ago. If so, how would I approach this?
💳Very interesting. I've never tried to manage CCs but I know it can be done. Thanks!
i got a 80k offer for the csp as a chase account holder, you know i had to pick it up
Sebby, you should do a poll to gauge the average FICO score and income of your viewers.
I'd suspect your viewers have mid to low FICO scorses and mid level income (older viewer) to lower income (young)
