Episode Description
Las Vegas is known as Sin City and a great place to vacation, but it is a great place to live? One company just crunched the numbers and found Nevada is the most stressful state to live in when it comes to work, money and health. Does this make sense?
In other #news we’ll take you inside of the Raiders Headquarters and practice facility. From their Lombardi trophies to the state of the art setup, it is quite impressive. We also discuss progress with the Brightline high speed train, how not all casinos want to sell their land and our least favorite Vegas casinos. Would we stay in them for free?

i used to live in Rancho Cucamonga.. back in the late 80s. i was 20 at the time.. whoa, 35 years ago… its where i found in n out and peepshows.. partied up and down baseline rd from rancho, upland, covina, west covina.. good times..
and the place where i dont want to stay is whatever criss angel is performing.
Mark, if you stayed at Harrahs, you could catch Donny Osmonds show!! Returned yesterday from my trip, Tuesday saw Frankie Moreno at Smith Center, Wed. Donny at Harrahs, and Thursday Barry Manilow at Westgate. All shows were great I must say, but Osmond's show surprised me, he is probably the greatest show man I have ever seen, and I had almost zero prior knowledge about his music and career prior to Wednesday.
I live in Connecicut and we just had our first measurable snowfall of the winter…1"! Vegas is killing it with the winter weather!
Tax payers money 💰 paying for Raider’s stadium/practice facility vs money for schools? Vegas is becoming California east ! The costs of living and stressful atmosphere ( crime, homelessness, traffic & overall expenses for locals/visitors) STRESS STRESS STRESS CITY !!🤮🤬💸😱🙈
Circus Circus 🎪🎪🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮
Free trip,to Vegas I am going even if it’s my least favorite casino! After my free stay is over I am heading to the Wynn #wulffdendad
You mentioned Excalibur. I was driving to Vegas and all the radio stations had a commercial about this incredible phenomomon rising from the desert. The Excalibur was being built.
I lived in Las Vegas for two years, Finally had enough. I had maybe $300 left. went to the Excalibur sports book, put all $300 on Underdog Orel Hershiser to beat the Atlanta Braves. He did. I won. Had enough to get home to my old job.
Excalibur will always have a place in my heart.
ALL CEASERS PROPERTIES SUCK!!! PERIOD
Of the places I've stayed at in Vegas, my least favorite is MGM Grand, and I'd sure as hell go if someone offered me a free trip. Even though it's my least favorite, it's still a great hotel.
Stayed at Gold Coast one night. I would never stay there again even if free.
Great content as always. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who gets lost at Caesar's!
Yes the raiders HQ is surrounded by dirt, but that area is growing at a crazy rate. There is construction all around it. We just built a community center and henderson police station up the road
Congratulations! on 37K
I would pick Bellagio, it just is underwhelming to me.. the fountains are over rated and nothing about that property speaks to me.
Maybe the reason for all that Vegas stress was from watching the Raiders lose so much 😂
My experience with a company I worked for almost 20 years called Woodward’s department stores in western Canada. Was around for over 20 years a leading department store. The beginning of the end was when then sold off their real estate holdings. As then they had to least the space back and the bank increased all their operational loans. As they didn’t own their premises any more. Casinos should be concerned if they need operational loans interest rates are likely to clime and be harder to get with out the hard asset of owning the resale state
If it was my only option would be Excalibur
An all expenses paid trip to Circus Circus? I would have to pass on that one.
You guys never think about the casino workers. You guys never question how Wall Street is sucking the money out of the working person in this city. Remember when clubs had industry nights for casino employees? Well those days have been gone since MGM and Caesars started paying less for their workers.
I work in a casino that treat us like garbage. The EDR is freezing cold. The food they feed us is horrible. Things are broken around the property. Zero bonuses. Zero raises. All while the casinos have had the highest winnings ever.
Stayed a MGM Grand las year, in a small suite and lights didnt work in the bathroom, none of them. Called front desk, said they would fix it that day, aaannnddd 5 days with no lights in bathroom. So I see where your going with maintenance issue. Be that as it may, love going.
Great show. Many hotels I would never stay in so my list is too long to print. As far as stress in Vegas I would have to say traffic could be a big reason. Zero lot lines could be a reason. Subdivisions are walled like a prison. Extreme temperature changes. Competition for a job huge. Gambling and drugs ruining families. Cost of living going up. Constant construction going on. Crime rate around town increasing. Otherwise a great place to live.😉🥰
Snowbirds are like, "What the…?"
Thanks for the State Farm endorsement – Jake
I've been in Miracle Mile many, many times in recent years… but I must have bad timing. Last time I saw the rain feature, it was still Desert Passage. Hope they still have full effect, Thunder & lighting… https://youtu.be/smHnWipOQ2M
Brightline will connect with Metrolink.
Would have been a bummer to have been in one of those ‘port-a- potty’😮😂
Regarding least favorite.. we all go for different reasons. I go to a vegas because my play gets me 4 & 5 star resorts, rooms, dining I would never pay for. (I pay flights) After staying Wynn, Cosmo, Nomad, etc… would I go for free to Circus Circus? Stay at Casino Royale BW? Hell no!
I went to Chaffey community college in Rancho Cucamonga in the late 80s; it was a nice area then. Thinking of the rain show in the planet Hollywood mall, I remember a show inside Caesars mall, the statues came alive around a fountain with music and lights. I remember knowing nothing about it while eating lunch at a restaurant and it just started. Do you know if it is still there??? As for the train, that would be really cool, they have been talking about it since before I was 21. It’s a little late for me to get full benefit, but I would still love to see them come through. I don’t hate any property on the strip, I think the more fun question would be what’s your favorite choice if you had to stay in the casino. As for ownership split from operation, the big fear is it leads to less theming to cut costs, which makes the higher prices even less bearable.
Wow harrahs? If I couldn’t leave I would say Luxor
They thought changing the name to Rancho Cucamonga would sound classier.
Please do a segment on the decline of Tropicana. Now with only ONE men's public restroom, dripping and flooded ceilings, and the filthiest "resort" you've ever seen. Stop by for the Tuesday, February 28, 2023 Town Hall Meeting on What Bally's Corp Plans To Do with Tropicana , in the Legends Theater at 3pm or 7pm.
Well run casinos don't need to play financial games like selling land/leasing back.
I'm not surprised MGM would buy into such a scheme – they have been a mismanaged disaster for 20 years plus now. I was a bit shocked to see Caesars go down that path – I thought they were smarter.
I haven't stayed there, but I heard Hooters/OYO is the worst hotel on the strip.
Worst hotel Arizona Charles boulder food sucks and rooms are bad if was the strip I say circus circus
There was literally shit storm happening in Vegas and it had nothing to do with my drunkin gambling.
