I’ve been a Gold member since 1998 and they keep sending offer to upgrade to Platinum.I just updated last night and get 80,000 points and $200 cash back if spending a few thousand.The 2.5 points per dollar is what I’m after and hopefully the Fairfax digital newspaper subscription
Even if I rarely travel, is it still worth it? Once a year MAX.

Great video. Question for you, if I book a room using my Platinum Amex through AmexTravel and its a "The Hotel Collection" hotel, and its a Marriott hotel, does the benefits stack ? Do you get two room upgrades? One through the Hotel Collection perk, and the Marriott Gold Elite perk?

I was approved for the vanilla platinum 12/16. I applied for the Schwab on 3/16/21. My application was canceled and I called and they said I was not 'denied' it was canceled since it was considered a duplicate application. This, as they say, since I already have a card in the platinum family I can't hold another. Is this something new?
@Ask Sebby I activated My card today and signed up for all of the benefits but was unable to sign up for priority pass select. Called Amex and they were perplexed as well. Called priority pass and they said I had to wait two days at least before being eligible. Did You experience the same issue? Thanks
