Rio Opening, Cirque Closure, Vegas Egg Nog, $68 Suite Deal & New Covid Restrictions Coming? – Miles to Memories Vegas

by YouTube Team

Las #Vegas and all of Nevada are potentially going to be subject to additional Covid restrictions coming next week. We’ll discuss that news plus what we think could change when the Governor makes his announcement.

We also discuss my insane $68 1,600 square foot suite with #Strip views, a very special Vegas homegrown egg nog and which #Cirque show is now closing forever after 7K+ performances and 17 years! It’s very sad, but we also got some good news on the Cirque front as well.

Hey man off your recommendation I visited Ellis Island Casino. Talk about flashback to ole Vegas. Loved the place. Great food at amazing prices $3 pizza and $3 beers, the gaming table mins $5-$10 and the super cool beer garden. Refreshing change from the Mega casinos. And I said Miles to Memories sent me.

Hi Shawn! I really enjoy this collab that you and Mark post together. Love the updates. I am soooo happy that MJ's One is included in the five shows from Cirque. Love that show. Can't wait to see O at the Bellagio! CAB 🙂

Maybe a restriction on neighboring states. Shows. Restaurants. Bars.

Back in the early 90's the Reef Bar at the Rio was the cool spot for 30 something locals.

Haha enjoy the Masquerade Suite. I had one booked for opening week, was $99 when I booked and 84 with my discount, but I has second thoughts – to quote my text to my girlfriend "I'm afraid it's just going to be a big sh**y room instead of a small sh**y room" but I do want to try it some day. Just wasnt willing to risk it for Christmas and I got one of the cheap large forum suites at Caesars Palace for $141 per night. Hopefully I'll get to stay in a Masquerade suite before they destroy the place.

I'm finally headed back tomorrow, and it would sure be great if the governor had ruled out or said anything in regard to a total shutdown. He tweeted there would be updates "in 14 days" which would be Tuesday the 24th, 2 days before Thanksgiving. That's not good for the tourism economy. I'm flying all the way across country to get there and real nervous we could be kicked out and spend thanksgiving fighting to get a ride home like March was. I almost cancelled my trip last night because of that but as of now I'm going anyway if I dont change my mind in the next 16 hours before departure. Some folks I know did cancel Thanksgiving trips due to that though. I'm all about safety, but Tuesday 2 days before a holiday week is really poor planning. Anyway I cant wait to get there but very nervous about getting kicked out early.

We’re going on this Sunday through Tuesday, so we might be the last tourists out of town when we leave!

Of course my Star Trek Las Vegas August 2020 at the Rio was delayed to December 2020, which now has been canceled. I was glad it was canceled, though I am sad to miss out on Las Vegas this year. I have been enjoying your videos!

Help! I am looking for people that used to work on "Masquerade In The Sky" I want to know EVERYTHING about this stagehands wet dream of a show. Random guests on the flying floats?!?! How huge was this production? How many stagehands? How many cast members? Please share your memories of this awesome show with me.

I really enjoy the Rio. Not sure why people make it seem like it's so far off the strip. It's behind Caesars. You can walk there in 10 minutes or so or the drive is less than a mile. People seem to have some really high expectations.

Rio is my favorite TR casino, glad they're reopening. I like that triangle of Rio Palms GCoast. When will these pricks open the Diamond lounges? It's like the only true benefit of Diamond status.(aside from parking, which should be free regardless)

In general (not counting this year or early next year) is December or January a good time to go to Vegas? All I know is that it's just colder but what about the crowds in terms of size and events/shows on normal years during these two months?

We're full-time travelers and have no plans after January 4th. We'll be in Scottdale, AZ so looked at a Caesars property since they're dirt cheap these days. We haven't stayed at the Rio before and we like the extra space for our stuff so came here to see what you think of the property. I wondered if it would be too rundown, but since we were pleasantly surprised by our 2 trips to Harrah's over the past year, it's an option. Hard to pass up $140 for the week since we also have waived resort fees. So, Vegas is an option for anywhere from a few days to several weeks. You might see us soon! (PS…Rio is now showing rooms every day, not just weekends).
