I probably should have went with the United Travel Bank, but I'm concerned about potential claw backs by Amex. I also saw a number of posts from people who've done this a week+ ago and the credit still hasn't triggered. I wound up going with United Club passes, although since payments can't be split, I still have $64 remaining between my Platinum and Gold Card. Probably not the best choice to go with, but probably not the worst either.

Thank you, I had no idea where to find the United travel bank. I just charged two $100 purchases and will repeat again in January.

Just read on "Miles to Memories" that the United Travel Bank appears to be dead. You might still be able to change your airline in January.
Is this option still available?
How could the United Travel bank cash be applied in check out for ticket purchase. I have not see this option on the check-out page.
