Get the reward+ for the quadfecta for 10% back when you pool all the TYpoints together. If you look at it this way, 5% back would net you 5.5% back, 4% back would net you 4.4% back, etc.

Citi trifecta is only for local purchases (electronics and appliances for 2 yr extended warranty) to be used for thank you points for transfer partners, never to be used for airfare purchases as Citi remove trip delay benefits and trip cancellation benefits

Do all of them but I would like the chase one first! Would it be worth having both the chase and citi trifecta or should you only use one

I feel like a lot of people are getting approved for that new Citi card. I want to apply but I just got two personal cards in the past month.

Did the Premier get a new design on the card?

JP Knowledge June 17, 2021 - 11:11 pm

I was thinking getting one of the higher bonuses first, but you're right the new card may not have that same bonus next month or next year.

I'm surprised you didn't give the rewards plus more love considering it's the only card with a points boost

You should state that transfer points from cards expire after 90 days.

Great video, Ben!

I would differ slightly by getting the Custom Cash, Premier, and the AAdvantage Platinum Select, then downgrade to the Double Cash in the 2nd year. If I were to apply for any card, might as well get a sign up bonus with it. Since Citi is so flexible when it comes to product changes, American Airlines is also one of my go-to airlines, and being in New York, JFK & LGA are AA hubs.

Your could apply for one of the Citi American Airlines cards for the bonus then product change to Citi Double Cash in a year.

So bummed I wasn’t approved for the Custom Cash. But I went ahead and product changed my Double Cash to the Citi Premier and I’m happy with my choice. Love the $100 annual hotel credit to offset the $95 annual fee on the Premier.

Citi is very sensitive. I was just denied the New CustomCash card. They told me I had an 839 Credit score but I didn’t have any balances on my cards. Say what!?!?!?

How about the custom cash + Premier + Prestige?

Reply
JD Diggy July 17, 2021 - 12:24 pm

Can I have four cards with Citi? I was thinking of getting theCiti prestige as main travel card, I have the Citi double cash already, and want the Citi custom cash, but I'm also considering the Citi rewards plus as well. To do a quadfecta.

Anthony st peter July 17, 2021 - 3:32 pm

Why didn’t you mention the prestige has been closed to new applications lol

Is it even worth converting to points if they're only offering 1 cent per point? Also by taking cash back you can get cash back on your cash back (when you send it again). Understand it would be worth it for chase because they offer 1.5 cents per point.
Also, would you consider replacing the premier with the Citi Costco card? Just seems to be better and no annual fee (assuming you already pay for a costco membership)
