i say get all of them one (chase, citi, amex), get all the points, downgrade if you need to and rinse and repeat. i will say my favorite so far is the amex plat. right now that 10x bonus on gas and groceries is fiyah.
Uh-oh! We have a chase fan in here. LOL!
He did my idea from last video 🤩
Never really looked at or wanted Citi until the custom cash card came out.
While it would be a quadfecta rather than a trifecta, the no annual fee Citi Rewards+ card has a 10% point redemption bonus on the first 100,000 points redeemed each year. That further increases the value of the Citi ecosystem.
I definitely think the chase setup is better. Their website is better than citi’s. Great video!
~Not me thinking that gas should be considered part of the travel category.~
I was all set up with the CSR trifecta. Then they raise their fee and COVID. I’m changing to a max cash back set up.
Citi made me wait a year before changing cards.
Nice theory on Citi product change. They won't change Double Cash to Custom Cash. Maybe later? Update: Just called again, never.
Well done here, especially the graphics.
Can you do a Citi Cashback Trifecta with Citi Double Cash + Citi Custom Cash + Citi Rewards+ ?
The Rewards+ gives you 10% points back. Can you transfer points from the other cards to the Rewards+ and get a 10% boost on all three cards?
Did anyone else know the Hyatt card is currently 5X on spend until the end of June?
CSR CC gives you PP lounges and other perks you will have a hard time quantifying the value of. Citi is bare bones.
I just went into a chase today and applied for the ink unlimited (approved 🥳) and I also recently updated my sapphire preferred to the reserve! The agent I spoke to said ‘it’s a good thing, I recently heard they’re talking about no longer offering the $300 travel credit to anyone applying (after a potential announcement)”… but those already with the card will be grandfathered in. Maybe just a rumor, but heard it from a chase branch
One thing to consider with regard to signup bonuses… Citi lets you churn the bonus on the Premier or Prestige after 24 months. Chase makes you wait 48 months. So if the Citi Premier stays at 60k bonus vs the 100k bonus on the CSP which likely won't last, you come out ahead with the Premier because you can get it twice as often.
Im going to use Citi TY pts for hotel stays & their hotel benefit.
Chase UR pts for flights or auto rentals b/c i want travel insurance & CDW.
Discover & Paypal for pure cashback.
The citi set up with the Premier is probably the best value for points over the long term but not having hotel or domestic airline transfer partners holds them back
Citi for the win if you want to do some yolo trips
I love hyatt too much makes chase an easy choice
This is heating up! I think I’ll do a citi trifecta since I already have the double cash
Thanks great video. Really interesting to see these companies complete. Got to love capitalism. 🙂
Before you get these cards you need to get your credit moving up my video helps get the perfect score for all scenarios

Chase sucks. 780 credit score and applied from the 5/24 rule and still declined for “Car Loan Installments Paid Off Early Relative To Credit Card Balances”
You did not talk about the stuff you get with the expensive cards like travel credit etc
Shifu, I have a friend who has 800+ Credit score and he has both the freedom and freedom unlimited, can he apply for the Amex Plat?
Wow, I didn't even think about the Citi Custom Cash opening up the possibility of a full trifecta with Citi. This video is INCREDIBLY well done, thank you for the info!
Can we get a video comparing the chase trifecta to the capital one trifecta since capital one kinda gave their cards a stimulus package 📦
Did Citi pay you to promote them. I am chase user have all the three cards and love getting all the bonus points.
CSR Trifecta + Custom Cash for groceries.
avid cardholders have 3 trifectas – Chase, Citi, AMEX
Wanted to point out that if you transfer your 1.5% to the preferred. its worth 1.875 Cents per dollar spent. Not really 1.875 points per dollar spent.
Great comparison
I'm leaning towards Citi since I live in California and the points multipliers (5x on car gas up to $500). However, Chase's travel insurance is always mentally comforting.
Get 6 Citi Custom Cashes Via PCs and enjoy 5% on everything
When I went in person to the citi branch it was 1000 spend and $300 cash back. Vs the 750 & 200 cash back
Citi Custom Cash + Double Cash with US Bank Cash+ and Costco Visa I'm set.
Chase freedom unlimited is now discounted to new applicants. So there now might by a hybrid trifecta for the expensive one
@Creditshifu If your grandfathered in for the old Freedom card are you able to apply for the Freedom Flex?
ive learned so fking much from this channel in like 2-3 years its ridiculous lol ! im an AMEX Fan boi though ahahaha and capital one
“Inathing”
Thank you! As a beginner I will be doing the chase trifecta .. currently have CSP and CFF .. I just need the CUF
Can you do a updated versión of this video with the new chase credit cards
Can I use cards from multiple issuers, then transfer to the same partner (Virgin for example), and then combine those through the partner?
Just taking the dive into this world after getting a custom cash card.. 🤯
I’ve watched a lot of your videos but this is the best in my opinion. Great topic, a lot of detail, but still a very tight video and not overly long. Perfect.
❤️🔥❤️🔥👍🏼💯💯
Chase hards pulls for credit limit increase meanwhile Citi credit limit increase is a soft pull
