When it comes to travel credit cards there are 4 big currencies: Chase Ultimate Rewards, American Express Membership Rewards, Citi Thank You Points, and cash back. And while all of these credit card points have value, some ecosystems are better than others for economy, budget travelers, and families traveling for as cheap as possible.

Why? There are no travellers now!
Altitude go is trash you can't transfer points on it atm.
I'm Surprised you didn't mention wells fargo with the propel, cash wise and signature. I switched from chase and now I am sticking to them. I use 5% cash back cards (amazon, flex, discover) and invest the 5% cash back into a "travel fund" (50/50 QQQ and ARKK).
I still hunt for bonus points though. I have a decent amount of UR and Jet blue points. I think the Wells fargo trifecta is one of the best with great bonus categories and 50% bonus with the signature and no annual fees.
Great video! I'm glad to see you put Amex where you did. I feel like other YouTubers put Amex so high because of the referral bonus.
You mentioned UR is leaving expedia, I can't find anything on this ; any articles?
You do great work. THANK you!
great video!
Looks like I'll be expanding my cash back set up. Thanks Dustin take care and keep the family safe!
I’m a family of 7 so cheap domestic or international flights doesn’t fly to my airport. So for me points are more valuable bc the cash back will probably never be enough for it to be a free anything. 50k spent thru 5% cash back is only 2500 but you take that same 50k spent thru 5x points with base 2c/point that’s 5k. I can do a lot more with 5k for a family of 7.
Where does Wells Fargo annual fee setup fit in?
Thank you ! I just got the freedom unlimited
Agreed, cash back is the most flexible for budget travel. I do both cash back and points and use them based on the travel I’m doing .
Awesome topic! Tks for covering important points within this game that go unnoticed. Tks for keeping it real. A good portion of my cards are cash back(Costco, Propel, US Cash +, Discover, Freedom Unlimited, Amex BCP), but just got approved today for AMEX Platinum 75K + 10x back on groceries & gas.
Would love a video on Bank of America travel rewards.
Glad I found this videos makes my decision making easier
I’m just starting to build my credit what card should I get to start out and build my credit?
Thank you for a great video for the budget traveler! I like high end trips but with traveling with a family of five, flights will probably always in be in the economy/coach section. Are there other resources you recommend for the budget traveler?
A year ago I re-evaluated my set up. I am now focused on cash back. Great video!
Why not look at Bank of America Eco-System? Why ignore those?
Can you do the best credit cards (or setups) for domestic flights?
Your other videos on top of this one made me realize that the current cards (Amex and Chase) I have are not optimized for budget traveling which is my preference. I'm all about quantity over quality. I'm glad that I watched this now as it's making me reevaluate my setup. Like you said though, it's great in year 1 for the SUB. Thanks!
Your channel should have more subs. It’s videos like this that set you apart.
