car insurance rates are lower if you have a higher credit score

Is LENGTH OF CREDIT based on your oldest account, or average age of all accounts? I've heard both.
not sure why i find these vids soothing
If I only have cards and 1 auto loan on my credit, do you recommend switching some house bills into my name? Is it worth the hassle? My score is already over 750
the system is screwed tho. I had a good credit score and a 100% on time payment history. spent 5 yrs building it up..Missed two payments due to losing my job during the lockdowns. The credit card company wouldn't help out. Now I'm all caught up on payments and have a 99% on time payment history yet my credit dropped nearly 200 points! F*cking BS
Great content Seb! You're helping many!
I really appreciate how much less moralistic/judgmental you are than most of the people in the finance space 😊
I make a payment to my cards immediately after a transaction..sometimes I’m not even out of the store yet before it’s paid. Plus I have auto pay set up just in case I get distracted and forget. Maybe a little neurotic but it works for me!
There are also those people who have great credit, a high credit limit, always pay on time, but no financial responsibility because they are living on credit and their parents are still paying their bills at 36 years old it is because I thought so too. I had a medical condition which put me through a lot, things were not working out, it cost me a lot, let me spare you the tale of my woes and give you the good news I had a credit score of 540 as at last year before a friend told me about JOHNNIE HACKS LLC,ORG initially, I was skeptical but they have been able to increase my score to 791…..
Hello, I have a question…I had a Dillard's american express card that I defaulted on and it was charged off but it isn't currently showing on my report, will that hinder me from getting an american express card directly through american express even though the first one was with Dillard's?
Can someone with a chapter 7 bankruptcy, still get a credit score of 700+??
Good post Sebby. Credit still matters and will probably always matter.
Credit scores matter for all of the above. I work for the federal government, and your credit score matters for government jobs (we can't have folks selling out rocket tech to the North Koreans).
Thank you! Your information is always excellent and extremely helpful! You've been my credit guru👍
I opened a new credit card and my credit score dropped 54 points suddenly from 816 to 762 on Experian
There are no other changes with my accounts so is this drop typical?
Can I ask a dumb question? How does the utilization percentage work?
If you have a $3000 limit, spend $300 in the first week of the month, pay it off, and then make another $300 charge and pay it off, is it still considered 10% utilization as per the most recent charge?
credit karma now has daily score update on TransUnion
When you say when you use $30 and pay off $29, why not just pay off the full $30?
Very helpful of you to point out that you don’t want to show a 0% balance. I tested it out a couple months ago and the difference between 0% and 1% utilization across all my revolvers was 20 points.
So I'm getting mixed messages, should I be paying off my credit cards every month or only paying off 99.9% of my balances? Is it beneficial to carry a $1 balance vs a $0 balance? I ask because I have autopay setup to pay off my card balances every month, and I was under the impression that autopay was giving me a credit advantage.
