Can I ask chase for new design car replacing my current one? Or is this design specific to new people?

Don't forget that having a CSP (or CSR or Ink Business Preferred) allows you to transfer points to travel partners, which increases the value of points earned with your other Chase cards. In my opinion, this should be factored in to the valuation consideration.

Apply in branch, get your $95 fee waived in year 1, plus your immediate $50 hotel credit fee through the Portal. I confirmed that offer is open in some branches. That's a good deal. That being said, the Freedom Cards still earn you more points with their multipliers (I have the Flex). The value I guess comes from the redemption through pooling points and transfer partners, but it's shaky as to the overall value. 3x on online grocery shopping? Meh. I don't pay fees for that. I'd rather go to the local store and shop (10x on my Freedom Flex right now). 2x on general travel? Meh. 5x through the portal? Matches the Flex. The $50 hotel credit is good. That being said, I'm not overly blown away.

How firm is Chase on seeing other cards with $5k limits for approval? Anyone have experience getting approved without having similar limits on other cards? Also, does authorized user history count towards the 1 year credit history, assuming a 750 FICO?

Hopefully chase will drop the online requirement and just put a cap like wife their temporary promos. Allow us to officially have both. Although something needs to be to added to the Sapphire Reserve cuz it’s underwhelming. Make Chase Offers earn UR points. Or a bunch of special Sapphire offers like Lyft/Instacart/Peloton that earn bonus points. Don’t become a coupon book.

So for 5/24 is it about your most recent card or just your fifth card?

I prefer the Amex Platinum over this.

Probably won't use the grocery multiplier, after my flex 1st year is over, I will go back to my amex gold.

I wish I was under 5/24, I would happily retire my Ink Preferred for this new CSP!

For people who already have the CSP do we have to wait until the AF renewal to access that $50 hotel credit?

You can’t really count the grocery category because it’s only on online purchasing, And I never do online grocery shopping I actually going to the store and buy it myself so it looks like this car does not help me at all, which sucks

First year is a no brainer with all that value! Good job showing some example spending here to break it all down 👍

CSP needs to have multipliers strong enough into the second year for people not to drop it. After the 100k honeymoon is over and year 2 comes, make it a card worth keeping Chase, it can be even better. Make it so.

I need some advice guys.

I’m getting married soon and I’m looking for rings. I plan on paying everything at once but I want a card that will give me the most points back or benefit me more. I wanted to apply for this one so I can get the $1000 but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea or if there’s another card that will benefit me better.

Hector Hernandez August 22, 2021 - 7:54 am

Is the greatest value of this card only the sign up bonus?

Reply
Farhan Islam August 23, 2021 - 12:01 am

I am not sure why you referred to AmEx gold and not US Bank Altitude Connect. That's a better card than AmEx gold on almost all scales.

Quick question when I check my card stats on the 10% Anniversary points boost section it says I currently have 88 points does that mean I have 88 dollars. I’m confused because I currently have 1,137 normal non anniversary points and it equals $11.37.
