In this video we look at a Bloomberg opinion article about whether Apple will launch a new premium apple card. The apple credit card is already one of the best 2% cash back credit cards on the US credit card market. But the author of the article feels apple needs to launch a premium version to attract people who would otherwise get the Amex Platinum or Chase Sapphire Reserve.

I would consider a premium card if available. I think it would need a higher level of benefits than competitors have today

Biggest perk right now they can offer is that if you have the premium card – you’ll be able to go to a Apple store with out a reservation!!!!!
I’ve thought about how the next luxury card should look like and be made out of and I have one idea that seems to be my favorite idea. Of course, it has to be the typical metal card (that is a must have, however, there would be a fine leather (saffiano or something for durability and softness) on the outside of the card or at least from the magnetic strip on down if the leather covering the strip would pose a swiping issue at the card reader. (Chip/tap to pay obviously would be a possible alternative to it if the said fuck it and made it all leather) so it still has the weight of a metal card, but sophistication, beauty, and a feel-good-to-the-touch sort of feel. (Not to mention you’d have a better grip on the card) The bank could get its money back from the materials used just by the annual fee and perhaps profit off it that way.

I’m riding on a bus and missed pretty much everything what you were saying in the beginning. I continued watching your video again and thought there was an actual Apple Card with all of the benefits you were saying.
I have the Amex plat and the CSR for a long time now so $100+ annual fees don’t bother me. I was honestly ready to apply right now until I caught everything you said at the end I was devastated lol you got me but if everything comes out close to what you advised I’m ready for Apple to take my money!
I get 3% cash back when I pay T-Mobile with my Apple Card right now. You can also get 3% cash back from Nike, Walgreens, Panera Bread. Just a small selection of stores

They always have 3% cash back if you pay your cell phone bill with T-mobile
I feel like the card was invented entirely to try to force more retailers to accept Apple Pay. Since the physical card is only 1% cash back, they are hoping consumers get up in arms and yell at retailers to get Apple Pay so they can get 2%.
5% back at Apple
4% back at Nike/Hermes/other collab companies
3% on purchases with Apple pay.
2% back on YouTube Premium and potentially other streaming services
1% back on all else
Why on earth would Apple give credits matching the cost of Apple One? That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard anyone say. Yes the card sucks but just fix the percentages on cash back and it’s worth it.

Restaurants..Supermarkets..Fuel stations should be 3%..Uber/Lyft 2%.. AppleTravel portal (Airlines..Hotels and Rental Cars) 5% like Chase.And the Apple Pay card at 2% for all other categories
Actually, Apple Card gives 3% cash back on more than just Apple products.

To me the Apple Card right now is basically useless. I’ve been pre approved for it for a while but won’t ever get it. No SUB, no amazing rewards categories, the physical card is awesome but you can’t use it 😂 if there was a premium card with SUB, travel benefits, etc then I’d be much more interested
Knowing Apple it won’t be $695. They’ll surprise everyone with the price like they always do, it’ll be upwards of $750 or $800 I believe

I think it would be cool if you got first dibs on new apple products when they were released.
They already have subscription Apple One service and I think that if you have opted for the top tier which is $30 buck a month they should at least bump those % by 1 or at least 0.5. Like when you pay Amazon Prime.
Now that most of the payments are made thru Apple wallet or thru the Apple or Garmin watches, the appeal of a black card with diamonds is gone 😂

Digital Card Only, 2% cash back all the time. Increased to 3% if you have Apple-TV or a newer model iphone+cloud storage. Increased to 4%, if you have a newer model phone+watch/pods+accessories on the account and spend XXX month. Fee Waved if you purchase a new iphone, +$250 cash back on top of trade in value, when trading in your old one.
I just spoke to Apple today and the analyst can see a new product coming out! It could be Goldman or Barclays though… I also mentioned your video and recommended they pay you a HUGE commission for your opinions. Keep up the great work!
Apple’s business model is to not create the best product, but to create a good product that makes everyone want it. Apple Card is currently good, not the best credit card but people want it because it’s titanium, looks cool, & sounds nice when dropped
