Chase is just torturing me…
Dustin you nailed it again. "…American Express is not a bank to test because you're going to lose…" The best disclaimer I've heard…it may as well be credit card Gospel. I know so many folks who did all of that work to rack Hilton and Marriott points during that grocery store promo and walked away with nothing. But when you decide that you're going to be a fool and spend $15k at the grocery store and think that Amex is going to take that lying down then you deserve to get nothing.
Currently 5/24, but have 3 slots opening this month. This sounds like a good option.
I’d personally be a little nervous transferring points to airlines right now without travel plans. Airline industry seems a little risky. May also lose the ability to use points for statement credits, if unforeseen things happen. Edit: just got to the point in the video where you said that!

Alot of good offers coming from chase lately! Really torturing people over 5/24 like myself lol hoping amex does the same and adds a transfer bonus to one of their airline partners as well
Marriott offering 5 nights means nothing to me….They have nothing to loose, specially when they are barely filling their rooms. I just did 21 nights on a road trip on Marriott and IHG and while I did not go room to room to see if they were filled – the parking lots where anywhere from 20% to 50% full. They are giving away rooms that they will not fill with regular spend. Spend $5 K not me.
Can you use the voucher on one or two nights, do the rest with points, and then get your 5th free night?
That Amex referral offer right now is absolutely killer. To earn 5x on the BBP or upwards of 7.5 MR on the EDP, giving you upwards of 11% back, bravo. Now to find someone to refer
I’m In the boat of busting getting the card a few days before ethos bonus. Has anyone been able to contact Chase match the bonus when you just signup for the card?
None of these bonuses mean anything if they constantly reject you for 5/24. I even keep getting emails to apply and every time I do, I get rejected for 5/24. This time I'm waiting until January. If they still reject me when I haven't had an open account for well over 24 months by then…im cancelling all my cards. Goodbye Chase. Not playing anymore. I use my Flagship Rewards for everything anyway.
Would a self referral work to get the +3x?
The 5 night bonus looks good, but it's a gamble on travel being any good within a year, especially international.

I got the boundless card a couple weeks ago and I called them today to ask if they’d honor the new sign up bonus for me since I JUST got the card. The rep said no and I’m stuck with the 100k. Not very happy with Marriott right now.

Waiting for the "Marriott Bonvoyed Airline Rewards Card", a downgrade option for those who've moved on to Hilton and Hyatt.
5 X 50K properties is pretty impressive thought, makes my final 35K certificate pale in comparison. This is the result of too much flight, IMO.
Hyatt is my next card, once I'm under 5/24. Would love them as an Amex partner!

Umm….. I just got a targeted offer for the $69 SW credit card. Earn the companion pass (good through 31 December 2021) and 30k points for $4,000 in spend.
Does the friend you refer for an Amex card also get the extra 3 points per dollar spent?
Of these three, the only that is enticing is the Amex referral bonus. I’m assuming this is for personal cards, because if you can finagle this with the BPP card that would be staring up madness 5X MR points uncapped for 3 months.
IMO, the Marriott offer is a hot pile of 💩. Spend 5000 so they can use fill up empty hotel rooms in the middle of a pandemic and slap on a 1 year expiration date. The only way this or the Southwest deal makes any sense is if you are willing to risk travel and have a specific redemption in mind.
I think the Marriott offer is amazing. If I was ready to apply I would! The Amex referral offer is great too. I also wish the transfer bonuses were offered more often from Chase. Awesome video Dustin. Take care and keep the family safe!
